Hi all You may remember that I asked for advice on how to temporarily put away gear that one isn't immediately using in a drawer, and all you lovely people made lots of suggestions. I followed up on one about triple foam drawer liner (it began with a K but since you cannot get it here in the UK I have forgotten the name) and found an equivalent over here called Trifibre. I received it this morning, and am attaching a pic, taken with mobile phone, to show how neat everything is now. You can't see, but each item is sitting in a hole made to fit that I cut through 3 layers of the foam, so it is secure and won't roll around. So thank you to you all, and may I take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy Christmas/Holiday.
Camera & lens, safely stored in a drawer
now that's a drawer of beauty. hope it's insured. lots of bucks there.

Hi jimburton Yes, it sure is insured! It's taken many years to gather that lot up: started small when I was still earning, part-exchanged as and when, ended up with really good gear. Absolutely nothing I need or want now - that's a good place to be!

Nice job indeed! I know how you feel..., that feeling of satisfaction one only gets from making something with your own hands, that adds to the gadgets of your passion. Very nice, and you can see the pride you have put into it. Thanks. Boone

Impressive set-up and impressive gear! I wouldn't want that kit rolling around willy-nilly either. And thank for sharing the finished project.

Do they make that foam for Nikon cameras and lenses?
Nice one, Photosarah, beats my B&Q box easily.
Hope you get the weather to use your equipment as we haven't had much decent weather this year. (At least, not here in Seaton, Devon.)
Well - thank you - I think I shall borrow this from you as I have just the right drawers also waiting for such a setup. I love it here!

Nice job! I am a Nikon person but, damn I love those white lenses. If only...................$$$$$$$$$
Hi all,
Nikon do white too.
I can see this draw setting the precident for "who's draw is this". Very smart, one must say.

So damned orderly you put us all to shame ! Nice going, for sure. I have a number of Canon lenses for my EOS-1, 2 EOS-3s,and 5D mark II. I used a wheeled carpenters plastic box when I was shooting the Chicago fire at Soldier field but don't use that system now, so your idea looks good and worth emulating. Thnx for the photo of it.
