Since May, locked in by cold, rain, high humidity and waiting for the two doses of the covid vaccine, it was impossible for me to make photographic exits. During this time I had to be content with Ugly's photos, colorful with sunshine and good weather. But from now on, with the whole country vaccinated and with good weather, my revenge begins (ha ha) with photos from Uruguay. Here I upload some photos of my trip last week, 100 miles from home to a place called Sierras de Mahoma. The name is due to the Spanish conquerors in honor of an indigenous named Ohma who inhabited that region. In this region with an altitude of about 500 feet and an area of ​​20 km2 it is full of granite rocks, some of important size as seen in the photos. Some of them are in balance and it is not advisable to stand under them. The last photo of the south east coast of the country 65 miles from home.

During the pandemic I got back into CB Radio. I hadn't messed with a radio in well over 40 years. What I have found with getting back into the hobby, is often I can talk and receive radio chatter in areas where there is little or no cell service. I knew that would likely be everyone's first question, why mess with CB if you have a cell. There is your answer. Plus, through some experimentation, a friend of mine and myself have been able to figure out some amazing stuff on the radio. And for anyone who is a prepper, a CB Radio is a must. I'm not a prepper, but I was a boy scout (never abused. LOL) The motto "Be Prepared," has never been more relevant than what goes on in the world today. For anyone thinking about getting a CB, I have some really good suggestions that won't cost an arm and a leg. Just sayin'.

From the shores of the Skagit River in Mount Vernon, 4th of July fireworks were back!
We are fortunate to live atop a hill at 183' above sea level, that looks over the "right" section of the river.
Line of sight gained, just 2 blocks from our house, was almost perfect(in my opinion), to see and shoot the show.
