As stated before, Your tripod depends on what you are photographing. Wildlife with a heavy lenses larges sturdy tripod, Gimbal head. Landscapes Tripod surdy, a good ball head. Do you want an aluminum tripod (cheaper) or a Carbon one (pricer) I have 2 tripods in my car one for wildlife and one for scenic plus a Monopod and also a small tripod for macros. Remember you get what you pay for the tripod.

All of them have learning curves and for Lightroom, Photoshop, and Apature there are great books on the subject and a lot of free video and info on the web

Expose your histogrm to the right then correct in post-processing. I like cloudy days no major highlights to worry about and the light is usually the same from all angles

I know there was recently some posts about vests. I came across this one and would like some thoughts about it such as would it work out well for 2 camera bodies and2 or 3 lenses. How practical do you think t would be? I really like the idea of padded shoulders.

I have tried them all Storm Jackets etc I love the LensCoat RainCoat it comes in 2 sizes, for long lens and for shorter lens and it has velco straps that hold it to the lens without flapping used it in a downpoar in Alaska and my lens and camera did not get wet. I have both sizes. and it doesn't need to attch to the viewfinder

before I upgraded to prime lens I use this lens and my son uses it now, sharp. think f 8 and 1/1000 sec to get best sharp photos according to Robert O'Toole. Use Auto ISO on your camera
