Does anyone know of a product that will cover photographer ( at least your head), camera, lens, tripod, etc. and still allow a little freedom for shooting? Seems like I saw something advertised years ago. I guess I could improvise with some Hefty bags and duct tape. Like they say "If you can't fix it, duct it"

It's called a Hefty garbage bag. Get the clear ones.

LOL! That was part of the original message. Even the clear ones degrade the image. Fogging up is also a problem as well as suffocating. :-) I can always get a good laugh on UGG although sometimes at my own expense. The problems are the ones who take things too seriously.

Umberlla. Okay, if you wish more freedom you can extend the handle with a piece of plastic pipe for example and secure it with a belt or bunge cord around your midsection, or put it in a stand.
Yes there are more involved and costly options for those that care to spend the money.

I still have the black cloth I used to use when shooting with my view cameras throwing it over my head and camera. 40 years plus old. Real Cheap. Garbage bags are lighter and cheaper. I use a freezer bag with my DSLR. I am interested to see what others recommend. Good subject.

It must have a weird shaped handle since it is over your shoulder to the front. Must be tough sleeping not to mention driving, taking a crap, etc. :D

Those are good for an emergency when rain drops in on you. If you do a lot of outdoor shooting and will be in the rain frequently I suggest the Think Tank covers ( http://www.thinktankphoto.com/products/hydrophobia-70-200-rain-cover.aspx ). They are more expensive but they will last and I love mine. They come in larger sizes as well and you will need the eyepiece for your camera as well.

Cheers.

I also use mine at PGA events on bright sunny days. It muffles the sound of the shutter clicking away. The golfers appreciate it.

Yeah you wouldn't want to throw off Tiger's game or catch Daly with a hangover. :D

I am NEVER without an OpTech rainsleeve in my vest. They don't last forever, but they work great and are cheap. $7.00 for a 2 pack. Buy a couple. They make one to fit with a flash also. Check here. (But they are also sold by B&H and Adorama)
