I call 'em Grasshopper Spiders......have you ever seen the blinding speed with which they encase grasshoppers with their "silk" as they hit the web? BTW......great photos

You are 100% correct sb except for the "family level" statement because there is no "family", only unknown "baby daddies" and mothers who exist on government assistance. I am not sure how this can be resolved either.

I am green with envy. We have them here and I have heard them scream three times in the dark just before dawn but I have never seen one much less to take magnificent photos such as these.
