You are most welcome. This challenge has been fun to see what everyone comes up with. Lighting can be such a challenge! I never remember to take my ND filter with me! Bad Sharon! LOL! I just got a smaller camera Canon T7I. I have the MIOPS triggers so I can use my phone to connect to the camera. I am hoping to photograph lightening next spring. It will also trigger with a sound or movement, etc. Also am learning to do timed water drops. Lots to learn there! LOL! I finally switched to milk instead of water and at least got things closer to what I want but can't get the crown droplets yet... Practice, Practice, Practice! LOL!

I made up an abstract from several droplets that looked to me like dancers.

The second picture here.... funny story... I dragged John out to get the sunrise. He was up much later than I, sitting around the fire. After dragging him out of bed (can't go alone because of the moose and wolves) I dressed properly for the very hungry mosquitoes... John... not so much..."I'll be fine" was his words. Lucky for him, the sunrise was not very exciting and after about 10 long minutes or so we headed back to towards the camp in the ATV... The sunrise now behind us... He was not wasting much time as he was trying to out race the hungry crowd! As we passed the row of trees I turned around....next words "Stop!!!" Good thing I had hold of my camera equipment! Because he listened to me! LOL! I didn't even take my helmet off! Took a few quick shots and we were soon on our way. Once he saw the pictures I got, he stopped grumbling! ;-) And... by the way... next morning...he wore long pants and a jacket!
You are most welcome. This challenge has been fun... (show quote)

Weeks are getting busier - dryer is beeping and several household "musto dos", trying to prepare for Son's (also a Tim) birthday froma distance. Covid # so hi all group homes are little islands We can't go in, he can't come out. So, planning is a lot different. He just got back to work and Day program too but all that is back on hold. Sorry, didn't mean to digress....But, when passing a bouquet of paper flowers a few minutes ago, I had to grab my camera. The light was beautiful. The first 4 were iPhone, last 2, Canon

Here are a couple that might fit your challenge Sharon.
From archives again. Something unusual.
Use of sun to highlight subject. Sun behind, middle of it. Was about 14 inches long.
Represents a very, very cold hand, solid ice.

Good evening!
I have chosen "Use of Light" for my challenge. What I want you to think about is how light makes or breaks a photo. Lets face it... you can't have a photo if there is no light but even with minimal light you can take fantastic photos. Show us the many ways of photographing a scene or subject by making sure the light is right. Or if you took a photo and if the exposure was not what you wanted then show your edited version. There are few photos that are perfect straight from the cameras, but in post processing you can often get what you saw. If you think about it, you took the photo because of the light that caught your eye.
So lets see your photos and if you wish, tell us why you took it and what did you do in post processing to get the finished photo.

Lets see what you got and most important.... have fun with it.

I've lived in my house for 20 years and have never seen a Bald Eagle fly over until today. Luckily I was sitting out on the deck with my Nikon and Sigma 150-600 enjoying the 75 degree November weather when it flew over. Funny thing is , is that my Father-in-Law, Wo passed away a couple years ago was really in to Bald Eagles, and my Wife's Cousin had just visited his gravesite today and texted pictures of his gravesite just a little before it flew over. Coincidence, or a Heavenly visit ? It was flying pretty high so I had to do some pretty serious cropping so they really aren't as sharp as I would have liked them to be but at least I was able to capture the moment
