One way of adding interest to a shot is to frame the subject. Most often used are architectural items (windows, doors, arches), and geologic or other natural frames (natural arches, trees etc.) I am looking forward to seeing some of your obvious and subtle frames in your photography.

A few of my attempts: The Grand Canyon, Natural Bridges and Chaco Canyon

Thanks for hosting katspangle. Great start. Here are a few that might fit.
Better late than never I quess.

Use of Light
Day 3 My final set for use of Light

Yes you guessed it another Light Painting, But with a twist These are all single exposure Paintings.
My Set up was A Sheet of Black poster board a shoe box to Hold it up,a Lensball, and a part of a Key ring to hold the ball in place a Mirror for reflection, and a Handmade Light Stick, I took a short strand of Battery operated LED Christmas Lights and wrapped it along the Handle of a Long wooden spoon, taped the Battery pack to the spoon part and used it as a Handle..All were done at 10 sec. at F/10 and ISO 100..I had alot of fun with this one and the only other thing I did do them was Cropped a couple that I thought needed it..
Use of Light br Day 3 My final set for use of Ligh... (show quote)

Lesley - Interesting and creative. Like the outcome on all. Well Done!!

Guess I'll put my 2 cents in. Took these earlier this week on an overcast foggy morning. Decided they would be more expressive in black and white. Used Analog Effex Pro 2. RJW

My last "volley" and you've probably seen these. Without the rising sun, these would be nothing - even fog (Sharon?!) couldn't steal this show. Sharon thanks so much for hosting.
