The 24-120 F4 that came with my D750 Body is my "everyday go-to" lens. It is great.
Welcome. I love my D750. One thing to to check is the hotshoe. Mine like many others have extra room on the hotshoe and it makes it very difficult get a good connection.
HAVE FUN!
Rice creates too much dust. Grab a few large desiccant packs (available at most shipping stores). These are in a packet but much bigger than the ones you find in pockets of new clothes. Worth a try.
My suggestion would to go through Nikon directly and buy a refurbished unit through them. This is a really great way to save. I believe they also offer extended warranty on refurbs. Lastly, I would have to agree that you should have an added addendum on your homeowners insurance for your gear. With the right policy, it can cover, theft, loss, and accidental damage.
My refurbished dell with dual hard-drives, 4k touch screen, 17 inch, 32 ram only cost $650 and my 40" 4K Samsung TV (used as a monitor)only $270. I spent the a few extra dollars on the extended warranty. I've had both now for about a year and no problem.
Any time I have my camera and I am walking in the woods, I take my graphite monopod. It is a really great walking stick and there if I need it.
I have a Nikon D750. I am interested in all kinds of photography. I like to do "close-ups" of bugs and flowers but I also want to start trying portraits. I have been looking at both the 105mm f2.8 VR and the 105mm 2.8 VR Micro. Does anyone have experience with both? Please let me know any pro's and/or cons of either one.
Thank you
if you don't need to cover a huge area, you could try the clear carpet protector that goes under an office chair. They are pretty rigid. The ones that cover rugs have spikes on the back and are pretty inexpensive.
As long as you can continue to have the wind on your face, continue to enjoy the ride.
The D810 and D750 take the same glass. They are both full frame.
I have to agree with a few others on this thread......Try the D750. It is a great value and delivers awesome images including in low light. I have been successful with portraits and landscapes with the D750. I couldn't be happier with this camera.
Thank you, I am a new member and this was my first attempt at adding anything.
