Looking to buy a nikon z6...
Does it matter where to buy it from? Bestbuy has their awesome insurance over it but can i buy from somewhere else like walmart/ nikon.com/amazon and buy seperate insurance through another company? They all have their seperate bundles... opinions/suggestions?

Welcome to the forum. The key is buying from a USA authorized dealer. Many are selling the Z6 at a low price with their bundle for insurance. Run, don't walk way. Dealers like B&H and Adorama.

In a previous life I worked in retail. Let me just say that the sales of extended warranty coverage are many, many times more profitable than the sales of the unit itself.
I’d take my chances on the extended warranty, but make sure I bought a legit USA unit.

Watch Walmart sometimes sell non USA versions. You want USA, because Nikon authorized repairs can not work on import versions. Study this a bit, and don't jump in blind.....
I got mine from Amazon. Just be sure it says:
"Sold by:Amazon.com "
They are an authorized Nikon dealer. Some of the vendors who sell through Amazon might not be.

I would see if Nikon offers a free extended warranty when registering on line. I got it with my D3400 over a year ago. Even Manfrotto gave me up to 10 years on a tripod. I wish the sellers would mention this.
So as long as it says on their website theyre an authorized seller, that all that matters? Sorry i understand what you all are sayinf but how do i find out if theyre 100% an authorized usa seller?
https://www.beachcamera.com/shop/content/shop_by_brand.html☝🏻This is the seller through walmart (walmart has an awesome deal right now and it seems too good to be true so i want to make sure).
I really appreciate all of your suggestions ❤

Even authorized dealers can sell grey market (no USA warranty) cameras. B&H (A reputable company)for example will say "Import" somewhere in the description if it is grey market.
Somebody above mentioned extended warranty from Nikon. Typically when you register a lens they extend the warranty to 5 years. While it is possible, I never heard of them doing that on the body.
BTW - Nikon products that are imported through NikonUSA are price fixed. If you find a lower price, you are most likely getting grey market.

Check the price on Nikon dot com. That is msrp set by Nikon. US versions will sell for that price everywhere or for more $$$.
Thank you all so much! Im pretty sure that im going to go through adorama since you all suggest them... just went on their website and they have awesome bundles and insurance- so its a win win 😁 i really appreciate it!
Do you have State Farm household insurance? You can cover your camera gear with a rider. No deductible and it covers absolutely everything.

Bundles are usually not with it, so just be aware.

You probably meant "not WORTH it".
