Looking at these baby Herons, they look like they could have starred in "Jurassic Park".
Mom is keeping a watchful eye on the 'baby'.
These two look like trouble waiting to happen.
Dad just ignores them.
We've had some hot and humid days here in PA and our feathered friends have felt it as well. They're looking anywhere that they can to find some relief.
"I wish we could find some shade".
"Hey, this will work!!".
These are great shots, thank you for sharing them. My wife and I are going to Normandy in August - our first trip. Her Dad jumped in the night before the invasion, with the 101st, so we are very anxious to see the area.
These are great shots - that lens is fantastic! Where were you?
Actually, the water bottle holders work well with your lenses. I have a smaller hip pack that can hold a camera body with a small lens in the main part and it also can hold a 70 - 300mm on one side and a 18 - 55mm on the other.
These are great. Number #3 is my favorite.
This is great info. Thanks everyone!
I am considering moving up to the Nikon D7100 (I now have a D3200 and D3100) and would like to purchase just the body. I was wondering if my lens will work on the new camera. I am currently using the Sigma 150 -500, Nikon 18-55, and Nikon 55 - 300. Any info will be very helpful.
These are great! You're lucky to live in such a beautiful area.
These are great, the Herons are beautiful birds. I believe that ours should be back in the next few weeks.
Thanks everyone, for the quick responds. I realize that this is a very sensitive subject and I certainly do not want to start a debut on gun control, second amendment, etc. I understand all that and I respect everyone's views. But often times I have my eight year old granddaughter with me and her safety, obviously, comes first. Perhaps I've become very paranoid in my old age. The answer, most certainly, is to follow my conscience.
I'm not a real big advocate for carrying a weapon but lately I've been thinking about purchasing a handgun to to keep with me while out shooting (pardon the pun). I was wondering, do any of you carry such a weapon and, if so, have you felt more secure? I know the world has gotten a little crazy and I wish we didn't have to arm ourselves - I'm not sure what to do.
Great shot, I can't stop looking at it's eye, which is the real focal point.
You would be surprised at how many folks from YCCC are members of UHH. This is a great site.
Hi Susan and welcome to the club. You should be very proud of your work, you did a great job!
See you soon.
