I like how the photograph has stirred your emotions :)

No, you said that I have an over-inflated opinion of my work.
I don't know where you got that--but, words matter.
I do like these, no.1 is my favourite, I like the pose although the missing foot slightly distracting, I like the lighting and how you have caught light to her hair which gives shape and how it's created atmosphere.
I like the concept and the pose, the colour grabs your attention.
Not really, just an honest observation.

You have cut me to the quick.
Haha, I do find it really amusing when someone who has an overinflated opinion of their own work goes on to tell another person what they should and shouldn't like. :)

It is a pretty crappy shot, unremarkable, undeserving of praise, and something most of us would not have displayed publically.
Hi SS, I do agree it's not a great shot, I do like the light though, it was shot on transparency 2 years ago. I really posted this one to see what reaction it received, sometimes shots which aren't great can start some interesting discussions, I posted a couple of half decent portraits and there has been very few comments.
When I shoot nudes once a relationship of trust is formed with the model I do like to shoot posed and controlled photographs but also some candid shots too, this was a candid shot, sometimes they work sometimes they don't. I like the idea of some shots capturing the model when she isn't posing, I feel this can show something more about the person behind the model, the contrast between posed and candid I find interesting. The model in the photo is very comfortable in her own skin, she enjoys modelling and is happy to be portrayed in photographs that flatter and ones that don't.
Thanks for your observations.

Newy, welcome to the Hog and the Nude Section!!
To bad the shot throwing the leaves didn't work out.
I just don't find this angle very flattering.
She looks like a nice looking model but this shot, for me, doesn't do anything to enhance her beauty.
My goals are always to capitalize on a models strengths and mitigate their weaknesses.
This shot doesn't look planned to me, almost like it was taken without her knowing. I tend to shoot deliberately.
Hopefully it wasn't candid!!!
Looks like the lighting could have been interesting.
Her back looks pretty blown though.
Is this film? When was it shot?
Thanks for posting.

Yes it is, different people like different things, this is an open forum and if I want to post a picture because I think it has 'something' then i can post it, or would you like to be a censor and you decide on what is posted?

Is it really?
I like the photo and wanted to share it, why does anyone post any photos?

That might explain why you took the picture; my puzzlement is about why you posted it.
Yes same model, one I have been photographing for a while.

I think this is the same gal as in your Nov. 3rd posting...yes? I'll look at her anytime. Thanks.
I did try it with the leaves in the air and they didn't look great.

A shot taken a few moments later as she threw the leaves in the air may have been more interesting?
We were shooting in the woods and the model said as a child she'd pick up leaves and throw them in the air, she picked the leaves up and I took some shots, I like the light, the sort you only get at the end of Summer.

I simply don't understand.
Taken in the last days of Summer, the model had been posing but saw the pile of leaves and wanted to pick them up.
James I like it, it works an interpretation of the original painting excellent work, a lot of effort goes into recreating photos of painting, a lot of incidentals. good choice of model, she is Rubenesque.
Good work on these, really interesting and a great project, I've also recreated paintings and drawings in photographs, it's good fun doing it.
I really like this and recreating an image from a painting can really focus you skills as regards to lighting, pose, props and general feel of the painting.
