Taken in the last days of Summer, the model had been posing but saw the pile of leaves and wanted to pick them up.

We were shooting in the woods and the model said as a child she'd pick up leaves and throw them in the air, she picked the leaves up and I took some shots, I like the light, the sort you only get at the end of Summer.

A shot taken a few moments later as she threw the leaves in the air may have been more interesting?

I did try it with the leaves in the air and they didn't look great.

That might explain why you took the picture; my puzzlement is about why you posted it.

I like the photo and wanted to share it, why does anyone post any photos?

That is reason enough.

I think I understand why you posted it, but... butt... butt... I think a different pose with the same lighting would be much more interesting.

Yes it is, different people like different things, this is an open forum and if I want to post a picture because I think it has 'something' then i can post it, or would you like to be a censor and you decide on what is posted?

Newy, welcome to the Hog and the Nude Section!!
To bad the shot throwing the leaves didn't work out.
I just don't find this angle very flattering.
She looks like a nice looking model but this shot, for me, doesn't do anything to enhance her beauty.
My goals are always to capitalize on a models strengths and mitigate their weaknesses.
This shot doesn't look planned to me, almost like it was taken without her knowing. I tend to shoot deliberately.
Hopefully it wasn't candid!!!
Looks like the lighting could have been interesting.
Her back looks pretty blown though.
Is this film? When was it shot?
Thanks for posting.

Hi SS, I do agree it's not a great shot, I do like the light though, it was shot on transparency 2 years ago. I really posted this one to see what reaction it received, sometimes shots which aren't great can start some interesting discussions, I posted a couple of half decent portraits and there has been very few comments.
When I shoot nudes once a relationship of trust is formed with the model I do like to shoot posed and controlled photographs but also some candid shots too, this was a candid shot, sometimes they work sometimes they don't. I like the idea of some shots capturing the model when she isn't posing, I feel this can show something more about the person behind the model, the contrast between posed and candid I find interesting. The model in the photo is very comfortable in her own skin, she enjoys modelling and is happy to be portrayed in photographs that flatter and ones that don't.
Thanks for your observations.
