Nice composition - the multi pano really works for you
Beautiful shots! I don’t see them very often and when I do they are very skittish - well done!
Thanks for posting! Great video, really interesting
Don’t know if you’re were using back button focus or not. I was recently in Washington photographing bald eagles and realized that I kept hitting buttons and dials with my thumb while wearing photo gloves. I have decided to stop using BBF for extreme cold conditions and use shutter focus and keep hand warmers in my gloves. That way I only have my shutter finger exposed to the cold and not thumb and forefinger. It will also eliminate hitting the buttons and dials next to the BBF button.

Suzanne,
Thank you for looking at that, with that your information, I have decided to look for a 36L. I have never been comfortable with tight fits on camera equipment. My wife has graciously allowed me to start looking before I find homes for my existing bags. Thanks again.
Keep us posted how you like the fit.
Can't wait to see photos from the Z9!

I have been looking at these two packs as a replacement for my current backpack. I am hoping that someone has tried one of these out. Always seems it is not pleasant to put my pack down when I need something from it and these look promising.
Thanks for any help.
I tried the 26 with a D850 with battery grip. The camera and grip are about 6.75" tall when assembled. The 26 was a bit too tall for that combo. I was able to close the zipper except for the last 4-5" so I would not use it with that combo.
The Z9 specs say that it is 5.9" tall so the likelihood is that is will fit. The specs on the Mindshift website say the 26 interior dimensions are: 19.29 x 10.24 x 5.91" so that should work.
The interior dimensions of the MindShift 36 are 21.06 x 12.6 x 7.09".
I could not locate my 36 so it is probably in storage because I don't use it very much.
When my Z9 comes in, I will probably use the 26, but it is difficult to tell without having the camera in hand. I usually try to go smaller because I have back and neck problems and a smaller bag is easier for me.
I would think that the Backlight could replace the Think Tank Hard Drive but I would keep the Airport Commuter. They are different types of bags and I would use them for different purposes.
Also, I run a 1/2" webbing strap through the Mindshift daisy chain loops on the bag and can carry knee pads and/or a jacket there.
You might want to wait until you have the camera in hand and try it with the bags you have. Then you could order the Mindshift and still have 30 days if you decide to return it.
That said - I love the Mindshifts!
Good luck!
Suzanne
I have have the Backlight 18,26, and 36. I like them all but the 26 is my daily go to. I can fit 2 smallish bodies with lenses and accessories. (Nikon Z primarily)
If I were going on a photo trip, I would take the 36 and if I only need 1 camera then the 18.
I have used the swing around feature and it is really handy when the ground is muddy or dirty. I also like that the part that touches your back stays clean even if you do lay it on the ground.
