I really don’t think Annie Leibovitz would take part in this discussion. Just saying.

How does one discontinue (cease subscription) Photoshop and Lightroom? I have subscribed to them for over a year and am not using them, so I would like to cease and desist. It's not the money, I just do not use them and do not know how to unsubscribe.

I earlier quote replied to the wrong Hog.... meant for you:

Going against the grain here but #1 is a better image. Although it has great action, #2 has a very distracting background which detracts from the image. On both, the birds are in the center of the frame. Composition wise, it would be improved by using the rule of thirds and placing the birds in the 3rd left side of the frame. You want space to show where the birds are looking/flying to. In fact, you can crop #1 and have the bird more to the left and also shrink the top and bottom of the image. I tried it on your image and I think it works much better.

Sometimes things get screwed up. Shipping packages to millions of people every day is complicated. There’s a lot to has to go right. They didn’t lose the package. You got it a few days late. Sounds good to me.

Brilliant! Great solution Twice_shooter. That worked! Not in the habit of changing that setting. Apparently something in that setting went bad but the alternate bell and whistle in there still works so I can use that. Strange that the factory reset didn't fix the issue so I assumed the camera was toast. And even now if the factory default settings still don't allow you to zoom you know there is something wrong in there.

But that's one saving grace about a $6000 camera, there is a lot of redundancy and room for workarounds. And another great thing about this forum. I learn a lot from other photographers. So thanks again.

Glad it worked! As for the reset, I believe it only affects the custom settings that are in use at the time of the reset. The reset won’t affect the custom settings that are in the “bank”. I think that’s what must have happened in your case and why the reset didn’t fix the problem.

Try this:
Go to custom settings menu f15
Playback zoom
Choose the option where you don’t need to also rotate the command dial to zoom

Actually it is quite the opposite. Without patent protection there would be less innovation. What incentive would there be to spend substantial amounts of money and time to develop an idea into a marketable product only to have someone just take it and run with it? How would a person/company ever recoup their investment? Without this protection, you take all the risk and succeed and someone else benefits. You fail and you are all alone.

I don’t use any protective filters on my lenses. Doesn’t make sense to me. A lens hood is much better protection.
