Ok Great shots as usual, but that makes me nervous seeing the aircraft in the same vicinity as all those birds... hope those planes are rated for bird strike.

Yes, birds and planes is not a good mix but tell gulls, eagles, crows and ravens to go and play somewhere else.
Alaska has more airplane crashes than the rest of the US combined but I never heard of any bush plane crashing because of a bird strike.I consider much more dangerous to fly in a dense fog around hills and mountains competing in a limited area with with a bunch of other planes. They were taking tourists from big cruise ships for sightseeing flights, who cares there was close to zero visibility and nobody could see anything? Thanks,Ivan.

Alaskan, Your photos are truly amazing. I look forward to getting on UHH to see what new pics you have posted. Wished we had just some of that scenery here on the East Coast of Maryland..

I was out back behind my house with my sons Lab, and she snuck up on me. Have not quite mastered panning, which is what the third shot was supposed to be. To many branches to dodge.

My husband & I rode here with some friends, along with Dolly Sods & Blackwater Falls - it was an awesome weekend ;)
(remember, I just have a P&S - I know they aren't the greatest but I like them & what memories :)
not sure how to post more than 3 pics at a time?

Stephie, Nice pics. I have been in that area hunting a few times. My brother-in-law has a friend who has 67 acres on the side of a mountain in Roaring Springs. Seneca Rocks is a beautiful place.

Thanks for sharing

Thanks. That's one of the last rigs were the guys could ride in the back. It was replaced in the late 90's

If you like old trains and find yourself in the Baltimore area...see the B&O Railroad Museum. Just a couple of shots. C&C welcome.

That place is awesome. When my Uncle was still living my parents took us there for tour. We literally had to drag him out of the place. It did not help that my grandfather worked on the railroad. Very nice pics as well.

Two shots, different days, same bird. Location was The Cove in Brigantine.

Like the them both but #2 is my favorite. Love the stopped action on the wings, not that they can get there wings going fast anyway.

Love the first pic. Great color from the trees, and love the reflection off the water. By the way where is Dundee Creek? I live in SoMD

This past Sunday, my boyfriend and I decided to take the train into Manhattan for the day to see Christmas decorations, because it was and unseasonably 60 degrees out, so it was perfect walking weather.

Here are a few of the pix that I took, some constructive criticism would be great, i'm always trying to find ways to improve or to just learn new things!

Nice pics. I'll be in the city after Christmas, my wife is from LI so we are heading up the day after.

Number 1 pan left and give both some room to see water. More interesting than the sand.

looks like poochy has a little boo boo on his snout. Also looks like he is having a blast. I like the little spray of water coming off the tail in the last shot.

No boo boo, I think it was just the way the sun was shining on him, but I will double check. And yes he had a blast, my son could not throw the bumper into the water enough.

I realize it shouldn't matter...but it would be wonderful if everyone could post a picture of themselves in their information page or as an avatar. It's so nice to put a face to a conversation. I've been receiving lots of wonderful Private Messages of encouragement and compliment, and as I go to the sender's information page, it's kind of disappointing to not be able to "see" who is sending the great messages.

Don't be shy. Show us who you are. Tell us a little bit about yourselves. Build some friendships and share! =)

I'm new to this site. I've been reading the information about HDR and I was wondering if this is something I would use instead of the editing software on my mac or in addition to it.

Also check out StuckInCustoms.com it is a great site on HDR
