You Tube has some excellent DIY vids on that subject.
If you have a scanner search SILVERFAST as well.

Yeah, - I searched 'Silverfast', and it has a great video ad, showing lots of its features,
PLUS, a very hefty PRICETAG!! - Looks good in the ad, but I can't justify the price for a handful of 70's Slides.

Thank you, - ("A picture is worth a thousand words"!)
Looks like the ES-2 has a better feature for inserting/removing the Slides, my ES-1 is a bit of a pain that respect!

If you have a Nikon and a Macro lens, ES-1 or ES-2. Pretty quick and effective.

Actually, I just bought an ES-1 for the same reason, BUT, - It's for my Canon 80D after purchasing a properly sized adapter for it. - This should work on most cameras with an adaptor, - Best of Luck!

Really sorry to hear about your legs, but if you're not in a lot of pain, or other restrictions, - Perhaps consider photography from a different 'Point of View', and continue shooting and loving your Hobby/Profession!
All the Best to you!

Probably not what you're looking for, but 'Portrait Pro' is some amazing software if you're looking to enhance Faces!
(I believe they even offer a 'Free Trial'!)

Whoopsie! - Sorry for the misleading info! -
I also re-read the ad, and you are so right! - I had just looked at the photo of it, and it looked 'palm-sized', so assumed it was an SSD.

I am considering backing up all 4.000 plus photos with either photo stick or album saver. Anything better out there? What about degradation on these two items? Thank you guys in advance for your answers.

Before reading this, I had just spotted an ad in a current Best Buy flyer for a WD 5TB External Portable SSD for $99.00! - (2/12 - 2/15) - (Marked down from $179.00!)

Seems that I had read that if you're using a tripod, to NOT use Image Stabilization, as it continuously tries to stabilize an already 'Stable' camera. - (Please correct me if I'm wrong)

Maybe, but 'separate entities', is confusing for me, BC I only have One acct. with Google, and the same Log-in and Password I've had for the aforementioned 20 years.
Perhaps I will have to have a separate acct. for 'Photos'?

(I know the Engineers at Google want to keep their jobs and continue to be paid, but DAMN, couldn't they include a simple 'Copy & Paste'?)

Yes, I mentioned it in my Post, but Google behaves as tho I'm not 'Signed Up', and I've had the same GMail Acct. for nearly 20 years!

I have previously posted here about losing Picasa, (due to not being supported), which took care of 80% of my photography Storage & Editing needs, (Everyday shots, etc., and Email Directly from Picasa! )
BUT, when Google dumped Picasa and encouraged me to go with 'Google Photos' I jumped in. - It has great Filing and Storage features, and even some decent Editing features,
BUT - I just discovered that when I wanted to share photos via Email from G.Photos, I CANNOT Copy and Paste them into an email, (or anything else!)
(They say to do this you 'merely select the photos, click the Arrow-shaped 'SHARE" Button and Viola!'
Then comes the message: - You Need A Google Acct. to share these! - (I already DO!)
One cannot just 'Copy' or 'Paste' any of the photos! -
Do any fellow 'Hoggers' have any ideas or experience with this, or know of any work-arounds?
Thanks in Advance! ( It used to be Sooooo Simple!)

Well, it has caused me to spend time going thru old Hard Drives, looking at photos from way past, asking myself,
'Why would I have kept This One and That One"? -
In doing this Drudge work, I also discovered that Google Photos, which I signed up for, and apparently agreed to have all of my photos added, and looking thru it, discovered MANY (Hundreds) of pix that I didn't take, added to my photos, which is the reason I had to Buy more 'storage' from Google!
So, That's some of what I've been spending 'Pandemic Time' doing! - (with lots more to do! - UGH!)
