Google Photos, Picasa

I have previously posted here about losing Picasa, (due to not being supported), which took care of 80% of my photography Storage & Editing needs, (Everyday shots, etc., and Email Directly from Picasa! )
BUT, when Google dumped Picasa and encouraged me to go with 'Google Photos' I jumped in. - It has great Filing and Storage features, and even some decent Editing features,
BUT - I just discovered that when I wanted to share photos via Email from G.Photos, I CANNOT Copy and Paste them into an email, (or anything else!)
(They say to do this you 'merely select the photos, click the Arrow-shaped 'SHARE" Button and Viola!'
Then comes the message: - You Need A Google Acct. to share these! - (I already DO!)
One cannot just 'Copy' or 'Paste' any of the photos! -
Do any fellow 'Hoggers' have any ideas or experience with this, or know of any work-arounds?
Thanks in Advance! ( It used to be Sooooo Simple!)

Yes, I mentioned it in my Post, but Google behaves as tho I'm not 'Signed Up', and I've had the same GMail Acct. for nearly 20 years!

Sorry, the mention of email did not make me infer you have Gmail. I have email, but neither is via Gmail.

Were the logins for each set up differently?
They could have them as separate entities.

Maybe, but 'separate entities', is confusing for me, BC I only have One acct. with Google, and the same Log-in and Password I've had for the aforementioned 20 years.
Perhaps I will have to have a separate acct. for 'Photos'?

(I know the Engineers at Google want to keep their jobs and continue to be paid, but DAMN, couldn't they include a simple 'Copy & Paste'?)

Choose the photos you want and then Download(the 3 dot icon) load them to a folder you can create & name. Once they are downloaded you can attach them to an email.

I also have Gmail and use Picasa. I have found that Gmail is restricted as to how much you can attached to an email, so I use Outlook, the Microsoft version of email. Good luck.

I have previously posted here about losing Picasa,... (show quote)

A much easier way than using email is to use We Transfer Free (for up to 2GB) and it lets you know when the "pics, files, etc." has been delivered.
The recipients do not have to have an account.
I just can't think of ANY Negatives re We Transfer.

When I share pictures from Google Photos, I just send them the link. They can look at any number of photos and save any that they want.

I switched from Picassa to PSE and Google a few years ago. I edit in PSE, (videos in Premiere), then export (photos) as jpg to file and have no problem sending as email attachments. Large files (videos) require Google Drive). With photo albums, I upload the files to Google photos where I create a Google album so I can put the photos in order. Using 'share ` I create a link which I copy and paste and attach to Gmail.
I suggest updating your account, perhaps changing password. Also, try clicking on `help'. Using the Google link works fine!

Log into GMAIL. Go to the set of dots 9group of 9-3 rows of 3) in the top right corner and click on Photos from there. Should let you do what you want as you are signed in now.

1) sign into your gmail account
2) click on compose email and address it to your contact
3) click on the paper clip
4) browse your pics and click on the one you want to send, then click open (I think google limits at about 20mb)
5) after pic file is uploaded click send

Send the image to a folder on your desktop then just attach it in your email.
