Having experience with a few editing programs including Luminar, I believe that Lightroom can fill 90% of a new photographer's needs from basic organization to final edit. Eventually you might want to give Photoshop a try ...when you find something you want to try beyond the capabilities of Lightroom. I don't think there is anything you can not accomplish in Photoshop. Then find someone experienced, perhaps through a local camera club, spend an hour or two and you'll be good to go!
