Avoid the advice to buy and use a tripod.

I've got to disagree with that.

Does somebody, perhaps school system or camera store, offer classes?? You would benefit from systematic instruction.

I can't recommend Karl Taylor's education platform highly enough. It's an insanely low $14/mo (no obligation -- cancel anytime) for full access to a bunch of outstanding courses and tutorials. Karl is a well-known commercial photographer with a gift for teaching. He offers 15 chapters on light theory alone.

Check it out.

This is very nice. I don't know if you are the same person who put a very similar picture out a couple of weeks ago.

Yup, it was me. Boise is great, but don't let the word out. ;-)

Yeah, laptops require something a little strange. ;-)

Looks interesting, is it stable enough for location use?...

I don't know. I don't shoot tethered outside the studio. It weighs 14lbs, so it's very beefy.

I sure that everyone who buys online, and isn't charged sales tax, immediately contacts their local and state government to get the proper forms to declare and pay the outstanding tax.

Exactly! I love that people are flippantly called "tax cheats" when every single one of the people leveling that charge are likely guilty of "cheating" in probably tens, if not hundreds, of minute tax clauses.

It sucks to be a tax cheat that gets caught. While income taxes may be written off in some bankruptcy cases, any deliberate evasion denies that.

Am I to believe that you actually track all out-of-state taxable purchases? Are there absolutely none that you've not declared on your taxes, or are you also a "tax cheat"?

Or pay your taxes! It's about time something is done about tax cheats. Aside from denying your local municipalities the money they need to provide services, you cripple local businesses.

I use digiCamControl. It's free, relatively fast, and a pleasure to use. Oh, and it even supports live view, which LR doesn't.

Good panoramic night shot.
A must view in the download for detail.
Well taken.

Thanks. Not to be nit picky, but it wasn't a panorama. I shot it with a super-wide lens.
