I much prefer SD cards. Much less expensive, a ailable everywhere, and go in my computer without adapter. I hate finding the adapters.
I have one xqd card and one CFexpress left over from my Z6 when I went to my Z7ii. I leave one or the other in so the slot doesn’t collect dust.
Anyone experienced with this choose to comment? Looks interesting and reasonably priced.

Of course I know that. Should have used delayed or remote release.

I've heard about that access to the river and intend to check it out next time I'm in the area. Pretty nice shots! Is there any way to get closer to the Mountain Goats? How's the fishing?
Bass fishing in the lakes can be awesome. Sturgeon right below the dam. Saw a guy get his fishing rod and reel launched into the river last year as one grabbed his bait and swam away.

Beautiful series. The goats really put on a fur coat this last winter.
Yes, and now they are kinda scruffy shedding it.
A few images from last weekend.
Hells Canyon is on the Snake River and is the border between Idaho and Oregon. It is deeper than the Grand Canyon. Three dams create huge lakes. At the end of the road there is a launch for rafts and jet boats that traverse 50 miles of flowing river...with three very large rapids this time of year. I once rowed my own raft down it. My friend in front of me flipped his raft in the first large one. After some courage building, I went through...and made it.
This time of year there are a number of waterfalls from melting snow.
I've known for years that the Mountain Goats hang out across from the launch. They didn't disappoint this year.
Nikon Z7ii. Panorama five merged images with Z 14-30. Goats taken with Nikon 200-500. 1.4 TC, using a tripod.
My Photoshop update had a cardiac arrest. It just flashed the screen. Found a fix online. Had to disable native screen in Preferences.
Tried the denoise and gave up on it also but that was while it was in the above mode. Will give another try.
Took this a couple of years ago in Valley of Fire State Park, NV. There were a bunch each morning at the campground.
Z6 w Nikon 200-500 & FTZ handheld
I'm not interested in photographing people I don't know. People other than family only appear in my images for perspective or because I was too lazy to remove them. However I agree that people in public do not have right to privacy.
Thank you all for your input. I appreciate the images also.
I will look again at some of the suggested alternatives. I think I'll wait more on deciding because Tamron is coming out with more Z lenses and Sigma can't be far behind. I'd prefer only Z lenses so as to not have to fuss with the FTZ. And still waiting on the Nikon Z 200-600 but not holding my breath on that one. Pretty sure they'll price it beyond what I'm interested in spending.
Used to hunt elk in Selway. We hunted in Idaho but had to go through MT to get there. Many nice elk came home to Idaho.
