Good variety of perspective, and both well chosen.

Thanks RG. The entry view is one that I rarely see. The bay view is one that’s often seen in print and on the internet.

When you change to shooting a mirrorless camera, you already know you're a better photographer.

First and foremost, equipment doesn’t make anyone a better photographer. If there is one lesson I’ve learned in this forum, that’s it.

The scene got the better of my curiosity so I took a trip over to Wikipedia to learn more about the where and what. Nicely done.

I like that tree.

The tree was the item that caught my eye and gave me the frame I was looking for. Of the twenty or so shots I took, that was the standout. All because of that tree.

Beautiful shots. It is all about the light!
And of course being there😳

Oh yes! Being at the right place and in the correct time frame is essential. Otherwise I’d be just reading about it.

Your Beautiful shot is ALL about the Warm Light and Heavy shadows!
Both Sunrise and Sunset have many beautiful warm colors.
I used to Color-Correct* my pics taken early or late in the day.
Now I embrace both the Warm Sunrise/Sunset and the Dramatic Blue Hour.

Your Beautiful shot is ALL about the Warm Light an... (show quote)

I try the best I can to capture the true colors in my photos. So much depends on available light and having the correct or as close to correct camera settings as to what your mind’s eye says it should be. But breaking it down to the most basic level, it is all about the light. Sometimes I expose to the right and other times to the darker shades, but when I see an opportunity to get it just right, I’ll do that as best I can. Thanks for the comment.
