I have been using the d200 since it came out I love it. I think it's time to upgrade. I shoot landscape and nature. Also my daughters marching band in high school. I will be getting the 500 real soon, with it I have a few 2.8 lens Tamron 70-200mm and a 17-50 mm. And a Tamron 100- 500 mm 5.6 and a sb 800 speedlight, with that all said any suggestions on when I get it ?

Hello , I am asking, how much should someone spend on a lens filter? I started looking for a set for some of my better lenses but I noticed a very big price difference for my 86mm lens. There must be a quality difference in the glass. I would love your input on this. Thank you

Hello was wondering, I will be getting a new d500 real soon will the older sb 800 that I have work 100 percent with the d500, or will I have to get a new flash like the sb 5000?

But I would like to take advantage of the speed of the d500 and I was told that the d850 would not be as fast as the d500 , only if I purchased another $1200 worth of equipment. Then that puts the whole setup over $4200 for a camera I would not take full advantage of.

Guys we are all right on everyones point of VIEW. Know this is real technical, But we are all forgetting that not everyones eyes are seeing the same, and not everyone can see what the next person or that everyone is running the same software, because they are all a little different, put that all together what do you get a picture that could have been altered right when you so the image. Instead of worrying about what the light room can do . To me that is not photography that is computer enhancement. So if you want to be a photographer then learn photography and your camera, if you want to be a computer programer then do that. We all tend to need to make adjustments to some nice photos but to adjust 300 photos out of 500 and delete 100 . What did they ever do before digital . I'm 55 yrs old I love technology but sometimes you need to get back to the basics.

You are right. That is what works for me if I'm outside I use daylight. What ever light source it is I set the camera to it. If it is a mix source then auto. Most of the time I try to get the color right at the moment I am shooting to the subject so I don't have to use any software to adjust it. That all takes time . Maybe it is I'm shooting with a nikon d200 . Soon to be using a d500.

As a electrician and know the kelvin color of light. What I do is when you know you are inside and the light is fluorescent then you put it on fluorescent, if it has a mix of fluorescent natural light and maybe anything else then auto , but if you know what the light source is then most of the time are close to the best wb. As for the high intensity discharge lights like a gym would have then play with the manual wb to get it perfect most of the time about 4600k . There is a kelvin chart you can go bye for color temp. LED lights you can use daylight for color. Hope this helps
