I am not anti-gun ownership. I would even go for owning AR-15s and anti-tank weapons (if you can afford them). But there are logical rules for who can own weapons (nutcases need not apply), what they are used for (hunting, target shooting), how they are stored (locked to prevent kids from k*****g themselves accidentally) and for how and when they are t***sported (in the trunk of a vehicle, locked in a case, and only between home and point of use). I am sure there are smarter people than me who can work these rules into something that makes sense AND is enforceable; and then they should be enforced.

And sometimes it makes sense to think of the rules from the other perspective (ie, where guns should not be permitted)... and then I would say there is no reason for packing a sidearm to go shopping at Walmart or the grocery store. There is no reason to pack a sidearm when going into "public" buildings (government offices, etc). And there could be plenty more.

All of this to say there should be sensible and reasonable gun laws. Everyone carrying is NOT sensible.

Biden Scoffs at Suggestion to Visit Border: ‘There Are More Important Things’ To Do
President Biden could barely hide his disdain over a suggestion that he visit the southern border and observe the crisis his administration has created, deriding the idea because “there are more important things.”

Biden made the remark as he was set to board Marine One on Tuesday. He is scheduled to visit a new computer chip plant in Arizona.

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy openly wondered why he couldn’t multitask.

“Why go to a border state and not visit the border?” he asked.

“Because there are more important things going on,” Biden shot back. “They’re going to invest billions of dollars in a new enterprise.”

If you needed any further confirmation that President Biden does not, nor will he ever, care about i*****l i*******ts pouring into the country, then there it is.

When he’s not ridiculing the idea of visiting the border, he’s flat-out lying about it.

Last week, the White House falsely claimed Biden has been to the border.

Doocy was again involved – since apparently no other “reporters” bother asking meaningful questions – asking White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre if the President had any designs on taking up House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s invite to join him and survey the crisis.

“He’s been there. He’s been to the border. And since he took office…,” Jean-Pierre responded.

Doocy asked, “When did he go to the border?”

Jean-Pierre avoided answering because there was no answer to give. The closest Biden has gotten to the border was when he drove past it near El Paso, Texas, on the campaign trail in 2008.

Jean-Pierre decried any attempts to convince Biden to visit the border, because it would be a ‘political stunt.’

“They’re doing political stunts. That’s what they want to do. That’s how they want to take care of the situation,” she said.

Which is odd coming from the mouthpiece of a man who, as candidate Joe Biden, met with the family of Jacob Blake, and who hosted the family of G****e F***d in the White House.

Those weren’t political stunts … apparently.

Vice President Kamala Harris has also dismissed the idea of visiting the border despite being Biden’s immigration ‘czar.’ And she also got caught in a lie.

“We’ve been to the border. So this whole thing about the border. We’ve been to the border. We’ve been to the border,” she claimed in a 2021 interview with NBC host Lester Holt.

Holt pushed back, “YOU haven’t been to the border.”

A defensive Vice President snapped, “And I haven’t been to Europe. And I mean, I don’t understand the point that you’re making.”

The entire administration is in lockstep with their messaging – The border isn’t important.

F******l pouring into the country isn’t important. Individuals on the terror watchlist trying to get into the country are also not important. American jobs lost to i*****l i*******ts, not important.

Over 1 million “gotaways” have escaped into the United States since President Biden took office. Experts say that number likely includes terrorists, cartel members, and other criminals.

A record number of migrants have died.
The highest number of border patrol agents in a decade have taken their own lives.
The leading cause of death for Americans age 18 to 45 is f******l overdoses.
But none of those lives are more important than a computer chip plant.

First federal use of term was 1903 and the current use was designated in 1933 which by my calculations is after the adoption of the Constitution. By federal law National Guardsmen cannot keep the military arms issued to them at home or elsewhere, but must be kept in the locked in the armory, they are owned by the federal government and are regularly inventoried.
Now the word m*****a means solely privately armed citizens. Who can be asked to defend neighbors, states, or the federal government if needed. One must understand this m*****a own and posses their own firearms.
A lot of uneducated and ignorant people confuse M*****a with the term "Select M*****a" is composed of a small, non-representative portion of the population, that is often politicized and only loyal to the party in power.

Bottom line is the 2nd Amendment is the right of the individual citizen to be privately armed with the common weapons in current use and that right shall not be infringed.
