Perhaps if they added "activities cancelled daily due to humidity", then CA would move up a whole bunch.

Sure, why bother being reasonable about tracking, licensing, minimizing firepower etc, when you have a gun? 50 Cal for the masses! Defend my castle! Build the walls higher! Then we'll all be safe, behind our walls, alone, but safe.

We really kind-of do need each other. And you really kind-of don't need an assault rifle. If you want to prove your manhood, go infantry, the queen of battle and learn a deeper meaning of fear and terror. Otherwise drop the macho pose. This is America, land of the free.

Just saying ironical-style, mister paranoid guy.

I once bought a small "sale" case for a couple of bucks at Samy's Camera to hold a long lense for my Nikon D7100 at a time when I was carrying everything in a backpack. I mentioned that the case had "Canon" imprinted on it, and the sales person said: "At least it won't get stolen". Maybe that's your solution.

I'm trying to register for the show
as a non-member online (just happen to be in nyc), they ask for my name, search for it, can't find it. So apparently I have to be a member of something to be located in the non-member database, but what?
Signed: Not normally confused.

To setup a delivery to be signed for the shipper must specify "signature (or adult signature) required" when entering the shipping info into the computer that sets up the daily manifest
for UPS or FedEx. . Insurance can also be added for amounts over $100. What the big stores do is possibly stated in their terms of purchase. I suppose you could ask for signature required and additional insurance when you place tge order

I received a PM reply from Leica User that is unprintable and demeaning (more to him (her) than me). I thought that photographers would not descend to name calling and h**e speech. After all it takes a certain level of intelligence to operate these devices.

Anyway guess there can't be but one side to a discussion. But if there were another side, then I would say that the school cafeteria manager in Minnesota that was recorded by his girlfriend was an unnecessary k*****g. And of course police get k**led too, no one wants anyone to get k**led, and no one side is always right and always wrong. Recognition of a problem is the first step towards a solution, don't you think.

You know like you see fuzzy photos and you recognize you have a problem and you ask why and you answer the question and apply the solution?

Race is talked about more now because we had a president who is a man of part-African heritage which made the problem of racial dis-harmony harder to ignore, and because there were a series of seemingly unnecessary k*****gs of black men by the police which caused push-back. Excessive crime and the birth-rate of the black community is a symptom of problems caused by Jim-Crowism. The confederate statues are a legacy of Jim Crow (most were put up in the late 19th-early 20th century), and must be (I don't know--can't know) hard to accept if your ancestors were s***es.

The confederate statues don't honor the s***es, they honor the s***e owners.

Get off the couch and see what live younger comedians are observing : lots of good commentary about race relations and politics and social interactions. There's a new generation out there that is processing what we exposed them to, not what we went through. For instance last weekend I saw a young white female comedian tie together fantasy football and race saying that as a white woman she didn't feel right about owning 12 black men which of course isn't what fantasy football is about but it reflects an understanding that s***ery was once a part of our country's origin and the fact of s***ery has made a lasting impact on our relationships and attitudes with each other. All the while making it humorous. And t***hful. But not enough to make the absurdity so real that we have to banish fantasy football. As if we have to be politically correct no matter what......

In China a few years ago checking out electronics and found that the warranties would not be accepted in the US for China-purchased stuff, ie by Nikonusa, etc.
