Will be going to the show next Thursday, see all the items I want, wish I had the money and the room for them all. Any of you fellow Hegehogs going?
Yep, haven't missed one in several years. 9AM train to GCS, cab to Javits center. Get there about 10:30. Thats is on Thursday.
Do you remember when they had the show at the Coliseum? It seemed much bigger then, Kodak really went all out. I was just a teenager and wished I could have had some of the cameras and darkroom equipment they showed.
Oh well that was many years ago, Rich M.
I'll be there either Thursday or Friday. Looking forward to seeing all the goodies. Anyone who has GAS should defiantly stay away lol.
Have tickets, not yet decided, last couple of years I got better offers to shoot or hang out with grandkids, son has tickets too, may go with him if he goes, that would probably be on Saturday.
Show was much bigger in the 80βs with all the darkroom equipment on display. Omega beseler durst meopta jobo made for very exciting times.

I've been there several times, but I'm not going this year. There will probably be a table that cleans your sensor on the spot (no pun intended).

Here's an alternative mode of travel to PhotoPlus Expo. When you get to Grand Central Terminal, take the #7 Train on the lower level to 34th Street-Hudson Yards Station (new subway station across the street from the Javits Convention Center, only 3 stops away for $2.75 each way, total $5.50). You'll get there faster and you'll save the round trip cost of $40+ to avoid riding from the eastside to the westside in rush hour! Better to put the $$ into equipment!

Maybe I've missed some LIRR changes but how do you get to GCS from Babylon, NY? Did you mean Penn Station? Just curious. Thanks

If the LIRR does not go to Penn, I think it does, long time since I had to take it, you would have to shuttle over to 42nd or take the M42 buss cross town, my choice, at 34th its the M34, watch out I think they are both Select Service, means pay before boarding!

Planning on going on Thursday, as long as a job doesn't come up. Should we all meet up somewhere at a specific time?

I think I would be up for that. Taking the train. I should be at the center around 11AM or there about.
