Thanks. However it looks similar to the Nikon ML-3 which doesn’t work with the D750.

I have a Nikon D750 and am looking for a remote shutter release. I would prefer a wireless solution. Any recommendations? Which ones should I avoid?

Thank you.

I just found a Gitzo GT4543LSUS on Amazon for $529.22. Needless to say, I ordered it immediately. Now I still need to decide on a ball head.

I shoot primarily portraits and am looking for recommendations on a tripod to buy. I shoot a Nikon d750 with battery grip and my largest lens is a Tamron 70-200 f2.8 G2. I’m just over 6 ft tall. I want one good tripod that will last a lifetime. I know that carbon fiber is the way to go but I don’t want to buy one that I’ll be disappointed in but I don’t want to buy too much tripod either. Also, what ball head would you recommend?

Thanks.

More MP doesn’t make a camera better.

Thank you all for your feedback. I also notice that Affinity has a version of Photo for iPads. Has anyone hear used that? Is it good?

I’m looking to purchase a laptop to run Affinity Photo on and edit my images. I’m familiar with their minimum spec guidelines but what do you recommend I look for to run this software smoothly? I’m looking to hear from those who have actually done this. Thank you.

I’m not shooting this professionally. This is for my own personal photos.

I’m not shooting this wedding professional. I’m bringing my camera to take my own personal photos.

I can see that many of you haven’t read my post carefully. I’m not the professional photographer at this wedding. I’m attending as my nephews guest. I was just asking if I should buy a 70-200 f/2.8 prior to the event.

A 70-200 is very handing for events like a wedding. If you don't have allot of wedding experience, I would get some experience at other events, like school things or church events. It will help you get experience working your camera under different conditions. Ideally you might get an event where you need to set up some group shots.

Are you planning on using flash?

This is for my nephew's wedding and I don't shoot weddings professionally nor have any interest in doing so. I do however shoot portraiture and I'm just thinking that eventually I would want to get the 70-200 f/2.8 and was contemplating if I would regret not getting it now. Yes I have a flash to use but may not use it for the ceremony because it can be a distraction. However, planning on using flash during the reception.

Invest in the 70-200 for the wedding and continued use.
You will use it.

That's why I'm on the fence in getting the lens.

My nephew's wedding will be here soon and I own a Nikon D750 along with the 24-120 f/4 lens. Should I consider purchasing a 70-200 f/2.8 or do you think what I have is sufficient?

So with so much simplicity in the mirrorless why is it not half the price retail?
I would believe manufacturing is much less and can be more automated.

You’re also neglecting that since mirrorless is newer technology, then economies of scale come into play. Furthermore the diagram is accounting only for the optical path. Let’s add the viewfinder design comparison between DSLR and mirrorless into the mix. Optical(DSLR) is much simpler then evf(mirrorless).
