This is the lens you should look into.

I see that Canon is offering this lens for $1,999 after a $200 discount. But B&H is selling for $1,299. Wide discrepancy. Can anyone explain the difference?

The current price of the 5D Mark IV body has dropped $200 from the starting price of $3499 at the major reputable stores (Canon, B&H, Adorama, Amazon, etc.).

i can't get over how colorful the lorikeets are and you get to see them in your own back yard.
a birdbath would really be beneficial...no telling what kind of birds it would attract!!

You are fortunate indeed to be visited by such birds. When I lived in SC and often visited Georgia I never saw a single lorikeet.

Very nice work. I assume you manually focused. Did you have any work done on the lens since you bought it? Very impressed with your focus especially in view of the distance involved.

I just read a review on Luminous Landscape. Quite favorable but there are a few "bugs" yet to be resolved.
I wonder why the interest in mirrorless cameras is as great as it is. The lighter weight is favorable and the controls are somewhat intuitive but I do not see any other advantages at this time.

Brought back many happy memories of Seneca, SC. I lived in nearby Keowee Key for close to 10 years. You made an ugly RR station look beautiful.

No one has mentioned use of Windows System Restore which seems a good if not simple solution. Of course each restore point creates rather large files but pruning previous restore files, if you know how to find them, would seem to be a solution. Am I overlooking something?
