Excellent job of a rather difficult bird to find in the daylight. Thanks for sharing.

Attractive duck shots and I also like you avatar.

Thanks photophile. The owl was also a challenge. I have not mastered getting good shots at a distant bird. But I still try!

Thanks William. One of the few times I put the sneak on a bird and actually had it happen. Used the large trees and deep shadows and planned where the ducks would be when I was in position. Always Interesting when a Plan comes together.

Very interesting photo. You did a great job. My first question is the bird it is eating a pigeon or could it be an Eurasian Collared-Dove? I think I can detect a collar. The Sharp-shinned is 10 to 14 inches long, the Coopers 14 to 21 inches and the Short-tailed is 14 to 17 inches. My best guess is that it is indeed a Short-tailed. The only one we have ever seen was in Southeast Arizona. The dove or pigeon are around 13 inches so comparing it to the Hawk the hawk would be too small to be a Sharp-shinned. The hawks tail appears to be too short to be a Coopers. Thanks so much for sharing. It is quite educational.

Thanks for great-great shots of a great bird. I have seen them pluck ducks off the lake surface but there is no way that I could capture that kind of a shot Great job !.

This is a pretty good friend, when I take the real one back I am going to hand him the wood one first.:) I thing the cast one weights about 8 pounds. The wood one maybe 1/4 pound. It might end up hitting the ceiling.:)

That is pretty cool! If you did not mention that it was made of wood, I would have thought it was a doorstop or something. Some people are just talented I guess. I can draw flies.

I detect 4 great talents here. Carving, Painting, Photography and one I always like. A sense of humor. Thanks for sharing.
