Foul day at Willow Lake. Bird shots and a couple landscapes. Although I am a nature lover I am not versed in identification. I tent to forget the names, except for the third shot, Ted the Pelican. But I do know they are birds and there are four of them and two are landscapes. Knowing that was enough to get me out of the first grade, and knowing that is what keeps me out of a nursing home. Any day outdoors is a good one. The Pano from a separate day.
Our new landscaper started today, He asked me what he should start on, I told him to just "go for it".
Sorry, my kids warned me about using puns, but seriously this guy is a new addition to the back yard and is moving quite a bit of earth. Since my yard is trees and boulders and only cleared for dead brush, this guy is welcome to join the circle of life. Unless of course he does damage to my home, then I'll relocate him.
Left overs from a a few weeks ago. The temps have risen in Prescott and most the snow has gone. Next week we should hit the 60's but freezing temps are to follow. Hoping for more snow, we get enough sunshine here.
Thankn you all for the Kind and encouraging comments
All shots from Goldwater Lake. The Park was closed but as usual I hiked in. I love to get there and the only other foot prints are from the wildlife. I spent 11 hours shooting and walked about 7 mile according to my phone. I will never get through all the shots, because I went again the next day, but only for 7 hours. I guess my approach to shooting is different to most. It's more of an excuse to be outdoors wandering around aimlessly. The pictures are the by product. That is what happens when you have spend the majority of your working years in dark rooms and dub stages behind a computer. The last shot is a composite, but I couldn't load it to the site. This is a link to a high resolution version.

I love when it snows in Prescott. It can be a pain to hike into the park because they are closed when it snows, but the bonus is having the park to yourself for a few hours.
The first shot was from this past Thursday morning before sunrise at the side entrance to Goldwater Lake. The next seven shots are from Sunday at Upper Goldwater Lake, and the last two are from Willow lake last year.

Awesome images Larry. I think I have seen all of your Galapagos Islands posts and every new one is better than the previous one! What camera and lens did you bring with you?
Don
Thanks Don, I took Sony A1 A9 bodies and brought several lenses but ended up using a 24-70mm f2.8 and a 100-400 f4.5. I never wished I had more reach with the lens. The animals come pretty close. The big issue is having to shoot a lot from a Zodiac boat which is constantly moving, so faster lenses will help.
Shot last month off of Ecuador in the Galapagos Islands. Boobys and Iguana were shot from a Zodiac, the Tortoise on dry land and Frigates from the ship.

In addition to great pictures of interesting subjects, let me compliment you on a well designed watermark. It does a good of Id'ing your effort without intrusion.
Boris
Thanks Boris. I wanted to take the least amount of real estate from the shot. Fortunately I have a short name so I just squeezed the letters together
Lovely shots of the Heron, nicely done
Lovey set Mike, great colors
