Had a friend that shot for the Stars and Stripes, in Korea, and as a pro, after the "police action", taught me to shoot fast(and duck), shoot thoughtfully and tight! I also believe in "It's, many times, better to be lucky than good"....CTP

Storm rolling up the Arkansas Valley, just outside of Buena Vista and we're on top of Mount Princeton, 14,000+ feet. Hair standing on end from the electricity in the air, lightning striking all around, thunder huge.

But don't let that color your judgment about the photo.

only problem I see is,it looks as if you are in the storm--not sweeping across the valey..otherwise looks good to me.---joe

Went to your site and like what I saw. If only the cities would
paint their streets like they do in the rural areas. I still say they
are using paint left over from the indians days.

Thanks for the info on NM...it's a great state that most others have forgotten about or have no idea it exist. That's good, we don't need more people.
The weather person usually stands in front of NM telling you about AZ or CA or the other way TX
I was in Chicago a few years ago, and the baggage handler told me that my luggage was sent to Mexico because Albuquerque was a foreign destination.

Nowadays the TSA would welcome you from Mexico.

ohh how I remember those days[and heard those jokes-lol]

thanks joe for your support i also like this pic,but i thought the face looked too bright for the backround. How would i be able to get rid of shows for next time? not in pp

as I stated[i think],,the shadows showing is what brings out the pic--early morn/cold/I see you mommie/I'm safe/wish I were in my warm bed/brrrrr--...only thing I can think of,would be sharper focus on the eyes[not possible without manual focus{you were using a P&S,right?}]..otherwise I feel it is a beautiful pic.. thanks--joe

[quote=medenni] I have so much to learn. I'm trying to decide what editing software to buy, but there are so many and many are very complex. can you recommend a beginners software? quote]

don't know if anyone has suggested this[haven't read all the replies],but you could try "picasa3"--free from google--.
it is a handy small program that will allow you to learn about what programs can do..then you will have better understanding of what an expensive program can do..---joe
