When that is posted here on UHH the usual issue is control of the color in the printer drivers and/or host software. Typically both default to being "in control". Most turn off the color management in the Canon printer driver and use the color management in their photo processing software. Some, including me, do it the other way.

Related to this is the possibility that the Canon printer driver didn't get installed and your system is defaulting to a generic printer driver.

I agree, but add that monitor and printing software must be calibrated. Canon Pixmas come in many different types. The 100 Pro is often cited in UHH as a super value and very good printer. Now, Epson uses a pad, of sorts, to sop, excess ink during a printing cycle. Some Epson printers become useless over time as the pads over saturate. I will not buy one of the Epson printers until this issue can be fixed without a factory trip, out of warranty. Go to the Printing section of UHH and check out software conflicts with printer profiles, from OPs post, I do not think he is using ICC paper profiles, and Canon software. LR will work well with Canons if one follows the proper course.

I cannot answer your query fully as I only use 32 gb cards. The newer LX 100 ii has a higher stated capacity. Since this camera's raw files are relatively small, I have never filled my memory cards, though I always carry a second card, just in case. The real issue others will point out is that cards are chesp, but images can be priceless. I always download my cards daily. If the Lumix had larger files like some Sony and Canon cameras you might consider a higher capacity card. Years ago I had an issue with two cards, not fitting in my Sonya DSLRs cameras slot. It seems that the slot had a piece of plastic debris that kept the Sony from accepting a card. I ruined two cards until I found the issue. I was able to empty the cards but will not rely on one high capacity card. I use 64gb cards in my 42 mpx cameras. All capacities are relative. If you are shooting video on the lumix you might wish to borrow a higher capacity card and see the results. Or has other Hogs might grunt and say, email Panasonic.

The Sony LAEA 4. About $348 from everywhere. I use it on my Minolta A and Sony A mounts to attach to my Alpha 7r2s. One cautionary note, hold the large lens/camera combo via the lens , close to your adapter. Do not use the camera tripod mount, use the Long Lens's shoe mount. If not present, use the Adapter's tripod mount. These precautions will lessen strain on the camera body mounting area. BTW, I use my Minolta 80-200 2.8 metal monster lens with the adapter and get fast focusing that is accurate. No eye auto focus with the adaptor however.

Dolica, I owned one with two QR plates. I think I purchased a second QR with a Desmond name plate. A very hefty pistol grip that worked well. I sold it in a package on UHH.

Works well, if you do not over do it. Everything is fast, except "Export". I use and it is worth whatever you pay for it. Aurora integrates well into a three of my processing work flows.

They are easy to delete. No ads in program, emails, snail mail and years ago phone calls. But, the program is one fifth the cost of Adobe and does 95% of the full Adobe software.

Jerry,
I, over the years, tried many free and inexpensive PDF programs. I now use a couple versions (on two computers) of Power PDF from Nuance. I can read, create and edit documents as well as convert to and from Word, etc. I believe they have versions from around a hundred dollars up. Check out Nuance. There is a BIG downside, Nuance bombards one with offers to purchase Omnipage and iterations of the voice to text program. Their tech support is good, the PDF programs are somewhat intuitive and mesh with OFFICE from Microsoft. Give it a shot. I hated to spend the money but I use the programs multiple times daily. BTW, their PDF programs mesh nicely with the Canon Scan Utility. Good Luck.

I played with your Original post and did it two ways. I am sending the one I liked best. A fascinating wall, wish I had more time. BTW, I do experiment with cropping on computer(unlocked free crop), it is fun!

Take your original, un-cropped photo, print it low quality; then using envelopes or pieces of cardboard, cover parts of the image, until it looks right to you, usually a rule of thirds configuration occurs. Tel you what, with your implied permission, I will crop it for you. By the way the plywood door really wasnt that bad and the brickwork is fascinating.

Try symetrical asymetry. Crop viewer Right side of photo vertically about twenty percent. Experiment, the shutter is too much centered. Maybe even forty percent. Start with original before any cropping, and have the shutter almost to Right edge, the adjust.

The balancing of the textures, colors and forms will be enhanced, and less like a "snapshot", heaven forbid. A very nice capture.

I have no solution, but I loved the dye sub quality of my old Olympus printer. When media began to get scarce and fiddling with the odd ball size became a hassle, I used up my media and gave the printer to community services. The Canon Pro 100 does well by me. BTW, you might do an ebay or Google search for either drivers or emulation mode software. I recall having to use the emulation mode of Win 7 with my Olympus.
