Sigma 150-500 A mount which Sony adapter will work.
Which Sony adapter will work with the Sigma 150-500 lense.
The Sigma MC-11 adapter is best for Sigma lenses but check Sigma’s site to make sure it is compatible with that lens. BTW if you want the best of the best in long zoom lenses the Sony 200-600 is an amazing lens, very sharp, stabilized and super fast auto focus.

Forgot a piece of information the lens is an A mount. Also the Sony lenses are extremely expensive. Thank you for your help

The MC-11 is available for the Sigma SA mount.
The Sony LAEA 4. About $348 from everywhere. I use it on my Minolta A and Sony A mounts to attach to my Alpha 7r2s. One cautionary note, hold the large lens/camera combo via the lens , close to your adapter. Do not use the camera tripod mount, use the Long Lens's shoe mount. If not present, use the Adapter's tripod mount. These precautions will lessen strain on the camera body mounting area. BTW, I use my Minolta 80-200 2.8 metal monster lens with the adapter and get fast focusing that is accurate. No eye auto focus with the adaptor however.
If the lens is screw drive focus, the 4 version adapter. If it is not screw drive ie has focus motor in lens, the 3 version. I believe Sigma made the 150-500 in BOTH versions - but I could be wrong.

Some Sony lenses are indeed very expensive. But the 200-600 is very reasonable IMO.

You are right about the weight this lens is Sigmamonster of a lens. I tried the lens with the A6500 and the L2 sony adapter and it worked nicely. Unfortunately, I have the A6000 and it worked on manual mode only :(. I am still looking for any more information regarding this lense in the A mount. Thank you for your help.

Thanks Dennis--you may have just answered my unstated question in my response to an earlier post about ff vs crop. I'll be looking at the Sony 200-600.
Perfect answer Good information.

You’re welcome, this is one of the first lenses I bought when I switched to Sony, it is also noticeably lighter than the Nikon 200-500 I was using. There are plenty of tests and reviews on YouTube for it.
