I am new to photography world, so I apologize for my ignorance. What software and computer do you need for this?.

I use minimum of three products for my workflow. I use Nikon Transfer 2 to move the files off my camera
Adobe Lightroom CC Classic and Adobe Photoshop for printing or editing out unwanted elements or adjusting white balance, and exposure to parts of the photo.

There are others I use including Topaz AI Clear, Topaz Gigapixal AI and Topaz DeNoise AI and for Portraits I occasionally use PortraitPro Studio 18.

Agreed but unfortunately I hadn't lead the surfer enough. It's difficult to maintain focus on while surfers are constantly moving I think I need to try to keep the surfer in the center of the frame to maintain that sharp focus. Moving the focus point with the camera's back joystick while attempting to shoot and move that large lens is not easy. :)

Awesome feedback thank you so much! Like this?

Or like this for example? I have been cropping them close. Perhaps I need to rethink the composition.

As a surfer, I love it when my friends get cool shots of me.

I would want the shot to include the full spray to the right of the subject - it's what really defines the power of the turn.

Yes a Nikon 600mm f/4 AFS VII I had headaches with all the Sigma glass I tried so sold both the Contemporary and Sport and purchased the 600mm after trying the 200-500 f/5.6.. that extra stop of light and the mushy bokeh was what sold me.

I'd love to hear your opinions on this photo. It was shot with a Nikon D850 with a 600mm f/4 at ISO 200 and 1/1250 sec at f/4 I like it. I considered different white balance settings and adjusted exposure slightly and cropped in tight for interest.

If you find one, better grab it before I do. VR would be nice, but I'd settle for a manual focus ... shot with a 500 manual for years, just cranked it over to infinity focus and went to town. Took beautiful photos. Sold it on a whim and still kicking myself.

I have one for $6000.00 with arca swiss foot in excellent condition.
PM me if you are still interested.

Some older Nikkor lenses are noted to have almost no flair. Most of these are primes with decidedly less elements than a typical zoom. Nikkor-Q f4 200mm comes to mind as an example.

Awesome!!! Thank you for responding. One of my new favorites is the Nikon 2.8 f/2.8 manual focus

I love old lenses!

Wow. I’ll say. Great to see those expressions on his face.

Learned recently to fill the frame when possible. Took my pictures to the next level.

Yes waves are huge here as well sometimes, especially after a storm.

Love my new home here in Narragansett, great place for a photographer, you might call it a target rich environment ;)
