They wanted to double the price of the Physical Exam and were turned down. So they came up with the Wellness Exam to fool the insurance company. LOL

I can tell you that the catcher's mitt is not from the 1930's. They were pretty much no more than a pillow with a round indentation in the middle. Now they are somewhat similar to a first baseman's glove

Why? Because

a) Cameras don't record things perfectly.

b) Cameras don't record things exactly the way we perceive them.

c) Reality doesn't always provide us with ideal circumstances.

Do I want a photo to reflect exactly how the camera saw something or exactly how I saw something? Or maybe I want the photo to depict an idealised version of what I saw, despite the fact that the idealised version didn't exist in reality (but that doesn't stop me from envisaging it).

Selling to friends or family can be problematic. Suppose the lens develops a problem right after you buy it. Suppose you see one for sale for $200 less after you buy it? Suppose he realizes he could have gotten $200 more.

Many years ago, we sold my parents' VW camper to my wife's boss. Every time he had a complaint about it, he made sure to tell my wife. Even giving something away can cause relationship problems.

Of course, if you decline, and you buy it from another source, that will cause problems. Your only solution is to move far away and never contact him again. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Gee Jerry, I didn't know you were such an optimist. It's a negotiation isn't it? He offers his friend a price and his buddy can say yes or up HIS price,

Followup Chadp...

In the last several years, I have been the victim of 'identity theft' for a host of reasons...
... Although, I have - in fact - NOT lost any money, the time that I have consumed is horrendous

Because of the above, my four (yes 4) credit score accounts have been 'locked' down for a long time,
... And, I make it proactive to NOT, leave any CC on File in the 'wallets' of any online companies (except 1)

In addition to the above, especially with Adobe, I buy the 1-year subscription plan during Black Friday
... And get a discount without having to put a card on file...

YES... Just a different way of doing things, BUT, this 'On-Line Stuff' is getting under my skin, and the older I get, and the more 'tech' we see, the more I just want to crawl in a hole and hide from the outside world...

One more answer to the above, and something which I have done, is to sign up for one of the 'data removal services' which we are starting to see more and more of today... Heck, it was only $44 bucks for 1st year... and came recommended by NordVPN which I am a member of........... So, I said, what the heck, and just give it a try...

Let's see...

Cheers

I agree. This is one reason I will NOT do anything with my phone. It's just one more item for which I have to buy protection or monitor. The internet is a cesspool for scammers.

You don't check your credit card bill EVERY month? Wow. You'd be the perfect victim for scam artists.

Why include grey market? That isn't in the discussion at all is it? As others have said, offer him what B&H would offer. That is fair to both of you.

I agree. Why offer him MORE than he could possibly get by selling it on line??? Take a look and see what the camera shops are selling it for used. and then take a little money OFF! Hell you don't even have to hassle about freight!
