I went into Joshua DuPont web page and had no problems with it. I even watched his video without any problems.
I have the same camera as you and I love it. I also have the Canon 55-250 telephoto lens and it is a great lens for taking distance exposures.
I am a beginner also and am still learning how to use my camera.
Good luck with yours.
Thanks Jimmaya for your suggestion, I do no know if tripods Re allowed, besides there will probably be a lot of people walking around so it may be hard to use a tripod.
Thanks all for your help, I will be just taking photos of the Christmas Lights and displays.
Yes I will be there after dark. I am not sure about tripod.
Thanks for your help.
I am a beginner in photography, I have a Canon Dslr Rebel SL1. Camera.
I will be going to visit an Enchanted Village display with lots of Christmas Lights.
Right now I have been shooting everything in automatic mode. Should I use automatic mode to shoot Christmas Light Photos or should I try another mode?
I would like to get some really nice photos if possible.
Thanks for any help anybody can give.
I used 125th of a second.
No I just set my settings and shot the pictures.
Thanks to all who have answered my questions regarding moon pictures.
Attached are my latest moon pictures, which I think came out better than the previous ones.
I handheld my camera for these shots, I used ISO 100, f5.6 and a 55-250 lens.
Michael
Thanks, but I do have the manual for my camera.
I also just picked up Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson.
Thanks, I have the cd and have watched it several times.
Thanks, I love it to, I am just learning how to use it, most of my shots are done on the automatic setting. I am starting to use other settings. Still not sure what I am doing. Been reading books dedicated to the Camera.
Thanks for all your suggestions.
Will give them a try.
I just bought a Canon EOS Rebel SL1/100D Camera, I m a beginner and trying to learn how to use my camera. I have books by David Busch dedicated to my camera that I have been reading.
I have a 18-55 lens and a 55-250 lens.
Does anyone have the same camera?
If so any tips about using it, is it a good camera for a beginner?
Thanks for the info, will try next full moon.
I handheld my camera, I should use tripod instead.
