I take loads & loads of raw pictures and lots of other junk. Maybe to much but it is all stored on a NAS located in the basement away from all other computer stuff. It is a Drobo with enough disks to give me 14.36TB of storage and filled to 4.39TB at this time! Down side is the speed limit of 10 MB transfer speed of the network. The disks go to sleep most of the time.

I’m in my nineties and still use my D850 and the Holy Grail set of lenses. However I also bought the Nikon Z50 kit with a 16-50mm , 50-250mm, carry case, memory chip, battery charger and FTZ mount adapter for about $1200 when it first came out. I am pleased with it as a carry around/travel camera. I was on board a ship just east of South America and ordered it from b&h. Wonders what communications are possible!

Has anyone used the Plustek 8200iSE?
I am in need of digitizing lots & lots of 35mm slides & negs.
With this unit is the workflow speedy or snails pace?

To me, the performance of the singers was OVER POWERED by the beat music!

Perfect security system! My dog has the same colouring and when someone comes to the door I know he sees himself as a Doberman, protector of the home front. But he’s a dachshund!

My Rusty is a doxie that is MUCH bigger than what he is!

I have used ACDsee since the early 20's. Have the ultimate version on my 3 desktops and 2 laptops. It is just so simple to use compared to many OTHER programs and is fully capable of doing layers etc. Wouldn't be with out it!

In 1957 we traveled the 66 route for our honey moon from Detroit to LA. Even then the "new" interstate was bypassing many wonderful stopping places! Never the less it was a wonderful trip in a little Nash Rambler with a continental tire kit on the rear!.

You sure bring back memories from my trip to Africa back in 2006. It was before I ever thought of Nikon cameras. I had a Panasonic DMC-FZ7 camera. It was a goodie in its time. These came from my Kenya folder. It was at a refuge for giraffes that had been rescued and not returnable to the jungle. To this day I remember how long their tongues were and how very soft also. You sure bring back memories from my from my trip.

I see from time to time posts that are negative about the Sony XQD being too expensive etc. I haply use one in my D850. I photograph Belly dancers at some of the local haflas (parties). Last night I ended up with 731 raw files each in the range of 40-55 MB. When down loading the files to my PC it took 6.3 minutes at the rate between 90 and 100 MB/sec.
The second card in the camera is a Lexar 64 GB SDXC. As a test, I down loaded from the PC to the Lexar all the same files. The download rate was 20-22 MB/sec and took 31:34 minutes! I assume downloading from the Lexar to the PC would be nearly identical.
Why so many pictures? Well their dancing motions are fast, especially when twirling. At times, I’ll fire ten continuous shots just to catch the right “expression”. I’m not sure the Lexar card would write that fast doing a ten frames burst. I also use the Sony XQD USB3 adapter. My card reader is also a Lexar USB3 device.
I use a 24-70mm f:2.8 lens and shoot at 160th of a second, f:2.8 and let the ISO go where it wants. The venue is middle-eastern restaurant in their event room. The lighting is for a mood not photography! Low level with mixed color shades over the bulbs. I let Nikon determine its best choice!
These are from my first group of edited files.

Some time i need to count the REVP they do!

I also take pictures of events. These are well done and enjoyable to view.
Depending on the event, like belly dancing, I will take 400 600 raw pictures. In the end, if I have 5 to 10 percent keepers I fell lucky. Some times people just aren't turned the right way or looking "dumb"!

From my experiences on the Princess line, NO PROBLEMS! I've seen several with tripods also. When going ashore I'd be very careful of what I take. I also ALWAYS replace the big name camera straps with something plain looking but more useful.
