Contracts can be good or bad, depending on which side of the paper you're on. As you probably know, car companies source components from all over the world, and they have contracts with suppliers. One thing that's always been unusual about these contracts is that there is no number of items specified. "I will build these for you for $20 each."

The Michigan Supreme Court recently ruled that a contract must contain the number of items to be produced and bought. Car companies have never done that because they don't know how many cars they will produce. Suppose the cost of supplies increases, and the supplier wants to raise his price? Suppose another car company offers to pay him more? According to the MI Supreme Court, the car maker's contract must specify the number of items he is going to buy. This also applies to suppliers of the car companies and the businesses that supply the suppliers. How many speedometers should Chevrolet order?

I see this going back to the courts again because no one can predict how many models of a particular car people are going to buy.

When you buy peaches put them in a paper bag, i.e. grocery bag, close it up and put it inside for 3-4 days. A guy at a peach orchard told me this some years ago and it works well.

They will soften but not get anymore flavor or sugars. They have to be left on the tree for that. They simply pick to young for that to happen.

TWs have devastated my tomato plants this yr. Off to a great start, they have been "gnawed to the bone," so to speak. My vision is such that iit is virtually impossible for me to spot them on my plants. Anyone know of a spray-on prduct that will eliminate these pests? TIA

I am not so sure anyone wants to find a cure for the common

As of current there are no antiv***l drugs, hence no cure for the common colds, flu, etc. V***ses are in a completely different field from bacteria. So it is hard get a cure. The best cure is natural immunity where we get exposure and build our own immunity.

I agree being a pharmacist, now retired. We were taught this years ago in pharmacy school. I graduated 1970.

I do not agree. It is that the government is hiding the side effects of the v*****es so they can push their agenda. My wife has suffered hearing loss because of the v*****e and it will never ever return. And many have lost their sense of taste or smell. We were both fully v******ted. Would we do it again, no, never.
It is not simple nor is it a v*****e. It is named a v*****e in order to get people to accept it.

[quote=Scruples]I am sure this topic has come up before. I feel it does need to be repeated.

I am fond of insects since I was a child. I don’t advocate their demise either because they have a purpose.

However the Lantern Fly is particularly invasive. Its ferocious appetite has caused considerable damage to plants and crops.

We are not bothered by them but our nemesis are squash bugs and grass hoppers (locust).

I'm doing a presentation for junior high children on Composition, and want to start with the question, " what the difference between a picture vs a photograph?" My answer is a picture is a memory you take for memories sake, a photograph is a memory you take after planning it out and carefully choosing how, when , why , where and who.
I know you hogs probably can give me a better description and that sometimes a picture becomes a lucky photograph. Any positive help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Perhaps you should change it to snapshot vs photograph.

Picacho Peak. Picacho is Spanish for peak. Yesterday was such a nice day, that I decided to see if the camera's still worked after a month long rest.
Picacho Peak State Park was the object of my affection and it didn't disappoint. The Saguaro cacti are in bloom. I originally thought I'd hike the trail to the top, however after learning it's more than 1,500 vertical feet in elevation in a two plus mile hike, my sciatic nerve convinced me otherwise. I only made it about a half mile up the trail. Here are a few of the residents there. I understand that a Saguaro doesn't usually get it first arm until at least 80-100 years old, so the ones with multiple arms can be quite old.

In honor of the holiday, Memorial Day. This photo which entitle Red White and Blue was taken just outside of St George Utah. The mountain is Pine Valley Mountain. The world's largest laccolithic intrusions. A beautiful site as you drive I-15. St George is five miles to the left and Cedar City is 45 miles to the right.

We were not part of the crowds we stayed in the car. We find we have to stay away in the summer because of too many people. Will visit in off season but find that is becoming narrower and narrower.
We found another way to enjoy the canyon. The road from Colorado City to Rockville provides some wonderful views and is less crowed. It is a large canyon but small by places to visit unless you want to do some serious hiking. I am too old for that now.
I drove tour bus through the canyon during the late 60s. I guess I just miss the good ole days. I am old and it was venture to drive 7 miles away to Annabelle but now one is not well traveled unless they have been to Tahiti. We were involved in work, chores and maintaining life. Nowadays people have to much free time on their hands. Maybe we should do as the Maya and build massive cities so the offspring can spend their time trying to figure out how we did it.
