I bought the battery grip for my 6D last May, and haven't taken it off since. It does add a bit of bulk to the camera system, but it also nicely balances the longer, heavier lenses I've been using. The extended shooting time and portrait-oriented controls also help greatly.

Darktable for most of my work (lighting, colors, contrast, white balance, crop, rotate, etc...), Gimp for any kind of pixel-level editing (which I don't do much of).

Enjoy. Hope these aren't annoying anyone. The areas visited each had their own kind of beauty. Just attempting to illustrate the variation.

Very nice series Bozsik! That looks like a fantastic area for photography.

Glad to be a new member of UHH. Although I have been taking photos for about 59 years, I am hoping to learn a lot from the members of this site and improve my skills. I am currently interested in astrophotography, macro, and natural landscapes. I shoot a Nikon D5200, Pentax K10, and Pentax K1000 film cameras.

Greetings kankankee, and welcome to the UHH.

I searched the topic about Brooklyn Bridge Park at Sunrise but have not found one so I am creating one here.

1. Manhattan Bridge at Sunrise with bursting sun rays. I call it "Gotham City at Sunrise". I tried to increase the contrast, also emphasized the silhouette steel structure of the bridge as well as the water and reflection of buildings on East side of Manhattan on the East River.

2. Brooklyn Bridge Tower (Brooklyn side) at Entrance to River Cafe. No name yet. This spot always full of pedestrians. Except at early yesterday morning, it was empty. I used level, color range, and multiply layer to increase contrast, bring more green-ish and stone colors of the tower.

3. Black & white version of shot #2: B & W to create classic look and simulate weather with cloud before a storm.

Any comments and constructive criticism are welcomed.

Thanks.
