I searched the topic about Brooklyn Bridge Park at Sunrise but have not found one so I am creating one here.

1. Manhattan Bridge at Sunrise with bursting sun rays. I call it "Gotham City at Sunrise". I tried to increase the contrast, also emphasized the silhouette steel structure of the bridge as well as the water and reflection of buildings on East side of Manhattan on the East River.

2. Brooklyn Bridge Tower (Brooklyn side) at Entrance to River Cafe. No name yet. This spot always full of pedestrians. Except at early yesterday morning, it was empty. I used level, color range, and multiply layer to increase contrast, bring more green-ish and stone colors of the tower.

3. Black & white version of shot #2: B & W to create classic look and simulate weather with cloud before a storm.

Any comments and constructive criticism are welcomed.

Very nicely done. Good crop on the 'Gotham City'. The sun and bridge work very well together. The colors of the second image came out quite well for me. I especially like the way the sky came out. Using a multiply layer may have taken away some detail in the shadows of the bridge but more than made up in color detail.

By the way, thank you very much for the post processing descriptions. Always interesting to get an insight on how other photographers edit their images.

Thanks. I was surprised to see so many shots of Brooklyn Bridge and its details but hardly anybody bother to look across at the Manhattan bridge. For me, it does have the majestic quality as much as the Brooklyn Bridge.

Yes. B & W usually look much harmonized more period corrected on classical architecture than color photos.

Great composition and crop in the first photo The b&w photo has a classic look. BTW, the Brooklyn Bridge is still one of the most beautiful bridges in the U.S. if not the world. Traveled it many times in my youthful days, so long, long ago..

Yes. Brooklyn has its timeless aesthetic quality. However, it is also pretty difficult to get any "new" shots from because it has photographed so many times. I guess only in dramatic weather like rain, storm, cloudy, etc...or difference vantage points will make create "fresh" look for the bridge. For me, I tend to gravitate towards Manhattan Bridge, which is just few hundred feet across from Brooklyn Bridge....

I really like your first shot...rocks in the foreground, skyline, dual bridges and placement of the sun at this lovey time of day. I see you are in NYC and thought to suggest that if you can place yourself in such a way that the Bridge actually CLEARS the buildings behind it, it might be worth going back... you might have to lie down...:-)

now I wanna find that park.
