A couple of shot from this past weekend

Beautiful - inspires me to break out the guitar and sing the song. If I didn't scare the dog.

A slight revision to what I said: Member Delderby. I really like the abstract he ends up with.

After going through some archived surfing and beach photos I found 10 that I consider good enough to share with my UHH friends. Each photo has a different quality about it than the others.
Of course each one looks best in download mode.

"...good enough." Really? Each photo outdoes the one before it and vice versa. Your work is so consistently evocative that you create a high bar uniquely your own. The remarkable aspect is that, while each effort is a work of art, it's also technically perfect. And that goes for everything I've seen of yours on UHH.
As always, many thanks for letting us in.

The download is sharper.

Beautiful shot. Brings back a lot of memories. I actually illegally climbed the tower in the late 50's - it was posted "off limits" but we were ignorant teenagers with an illegal 6-pack.

Enjoying the morning. Even caught birds in the second photo ! First glance I thought it might be dust.

Boy, do I feel for you - having to face that view every morning. My sympathies.
And my congratulations.

Caught this just as the sky was darkening. Sorta unusual, methinks.

Canon RP and Canon EF 16-35 F4 L.

It's been my experience that Raleigh always has some interesting skies. Nice shot.

I think I prefer photo #1 in this case, but photo #3 is close.

I agree; even though I love my D7500 I reckon I'll go with your Panasonic. There's a lot of drama in @1 and #3, but even though I'm usually a fan of B/W I think the edge goes to the color.

Wow,
That would be quite an experience to see so many of these beautiful birds together

You are right. Unfortunately when I saw them downtown last year, the evening was a little darker and I assumed they were bats. I'm a little slow. But they truly are a graceful, dare-diving lot. No one can figure out what the inner city holds for them but more power.
Thanks

I can back this! I shot with the D7500 for 3yrs and consider it a great photographic tool. And at good prices

Right on Ritag55! For a crop camera the D7500 is the best of several worlds. For what it's worth, I shoot 50% of the time with my NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II and the resolution, sharpness and dynamic range is indistinguishable from a buddy's D500 and I lose only a couple fps in the bargain.

I guess I would go first for the 7500 and if for some reason that didn't suit you, then the 500. I'm not big on weight but some are and in that case, lighter IS better. Harry PS Only one card slot? To quote the OP, "Oh my gawd!" (ROFLMFAO) Harry

A kindred soul in this harsh climate.

I have an old Nikon D5100 camera and I love it but I would like a new Nikon DX. Any suggestions.

I find it interesting that not one person has mentioned the D7500. This camera is a jewel to shoot and is considered a junior D500. It has most of the attributes and quality of the 500 but it much lighter but has only one SD card slot! Oh my gawd! The emotional and irrational (and uninformed) rejections of this camera because of the lack of two slots is ridiculous. I've never had a failure on ANY Nikon DSLR I've owned, let alone the D7500 and I've used it for at least two years.
The bottom line is there are deals all over the place on this camera. Proof that ignorance apparently has its good side. Good luck.
