I don't know his camera but perhaps using high resolution mode would cause the camera to slow down and he can't make another shot without waiting.

Then buy a better camera.

Thanks for the comments. I've wondered why I've never seen online or written advice related to increasing resolution to compensate for not having a longer lens, especially when the final product will be cropped down to the subject. Thought perhaps I was missing something.
I seldom use the highest resolutions with my D7000 since I seldom print larger than 5x7 size, and almost never larger than 8x10. Large high resolution picture files take up lots of unnecessary memory on your memory card and on your computer.

Why not use the highest resolution possible and that would be RAW, you have a nice camera and are not using it to its fullest potential..as far as memory cards go they are relatively cheep, and put your files on a external drive, a 500 gig drives are very cheep these days.

Looking for a gently used EOS1V body. Not interested in a high shutter count professionally used and abused one but someone who bought it as a hobby, lost interest in film and gave it loving care. I want it to get back into film and it is smaller that my A2 and this is my main reason for it.

Architect, the EOS 3 is a great pro camera, I love mine and will not give it up as I shoot film once in a while, just a thought.

Contact Steve. He used to work for Canon. Now has a shop in Reno Nv. He's fixed the EEE error on three of my Canon T90's.

Good man to talk to, and I think he often sells Canons as well.

Can't say price will be better, but the camera will be right and probably refurbed by him.

Did each of my T90's for $100.

Cape Breten Cabot Trail and Peggy's Cove..I fell in love with Peggy"s Cove it is soooo beautiful there...so much so I made a make shift of the place complete with a lighted light house and rocks in my backyard that is still there today. Nove Scotia is an awesome place to visit, loved every minute I was there and took a ton of pics. Have fun.

I would say that is as close to perfect as "Damn it!" is to swearing. Great shot and no chromatic aberration either.

Why thank you Brian, you are so kind...

I forgot to change from auto ISO when taking these moon shots.
See the diff. when I changed.

Yeah on manual ISO there is less noise and not only that the whole color palette changed and for the better.

The other thing I like about digital is being able to see the results immediately so you can tweak if need be. But film [slides] still seems more vivid. Maybe it's because of the analog gradation in the colors?

Man I could not agree more. Film, especially slides is much more vivid, color depth is superb on E6 film. When I look at my slides with a loupe the color has a 3D depth of quality... I mainly use Fuji and some Kodak, but Ilford and others are the same I'm sure. I'm kinda of old school, love analogue especially for music reproduction, where analogue wins every time. this is coming from 44yrs experience with high end audio, engineers, and musicians..

I take out a film camera not and then but seldom 35mm. I have an F5 and I love the thing but I also have three med formats I dearly love fooling with. My Pentax 645 is relatively new and is auto everything. My two favorite's are my RB 67 and Yashica 635, both auto nothing!

If I could shoot as inexpensively as digital, I'd probably go back to film. Never gonna happen.

Indeed.

Man with two watches never knows what time it is (unless they are calibrated).

Flowers in center look violet and leaves look green with a very slight yellow hue, flowers out of focus on the left look deeper violet, almost purple, on my screen.

This is pretty much what I see on my calibrated 24 in Dell monitor.

beautiful shots with excellent details. I would say you nailed the exposure. The only technical issue is a bit of chromatic aberration. If you look closely at the "top of the moon you will see a bit of cyan-blue fringing and at the "bottom of the moon some yellow-orange fringing. This is very minor and is a characteristic of the lens you used. It can usually be corrected in post processing.

Thank you Brian.. I took this in January and forgot to process it reading all the post's on this I decided to do a quick pp but ran out of time, but I wasn't thrilled with it just wanted to get it up for demonstration purposes. I repressed it, I think it is better, how about you?
