My NEX6 has been taking some great pics. Among the plus qualities is the availability of a book that is specifically for the NEX6.

The compactness of the camera belies the capabilities of the package, especially with the kit "Pancake" lens. The camera could fit into a jacket pocket , a good feature when traveling. I laugh at the huge DSLRs with their bulky sizes.
It is light and who needs weight ? The only place that weight is a must is in a steamroller.

I was stopped, for speeding, on a rainy night. I pulled off in an area that was covered. I had my hands in plain sight, my windows rolled down interior lights on and my hands on the wheel.

I told the officer that I was obliged to tell him that I had a loaded pistol in the center console. He went back to his cruiser and called in my info.
He came back to my car and said," Captain, I'm letting you go, would you like to know why?. "Yes sir, I would", I replied.

He said," first of all you were concerned with MY safety and you have a concealed weapons permit...that makes you one of the good guys. You were fifteen miles over the speed limit...please slow down and have a good evening".

In a calm voice I told him, "Please don't come closer, I have nothing worth dying for... Go home to your family". He dropped the tire iron that he had been brandishing...thanked me a left.

I would have been happy to give him my trash, but since dead men can't testify, my skull might have been bashed in.

Grrrreat ! Having a shelter critter find a forever home is among my greatest highs. We are the staff to three, sweet, pussycats....all had tragic stories and now their greatest problem is being spoiled rotten.
One was snatched for death row, at a nearby shelter, one was rescued from the fanbelt of junkyard car. The first two are a girl and boy Siamese and the third is a, rare Snowshoe cat.
