#1 is a Cholla (choya) Cactus. One of the nastiest cactuses in the desert!
#4 foreground is a Prickly Pear. Nasty enough, but candy and jelly can be made from the flower pods. Really good!
I hope you like!

Day 2 using this lens. Processed some shots at the local park (Pinehurst Lake) with ON1.
These are all hand-held. Next group will be on tripod.
It is clear that to get the most out of this lens for full-frame landscapes, camera needs to be well aligned in both axes!
Enjoying the learning curve.
As usual C&C welcome.

Nice set.

This image seems appropriate for today's weather, cold, cloudy and windy.

One of these were posted last year.

It was a windy, bitterly cold day at Lake Katherine when I happened upon various fire departments from the area practicing rescues in the frigid water. Very inopportune weather day, but the guys I talked to said with the suits, they felt toasty The only uncomfortable part was their exposed faces. Nobody was complaining - and everybody got a turn in the water 😵😵😵

Got to spend a couple days at the rockhouse off the Stillwater river. All but the grouse and last pic were out over a hundred yards with heavy cropping. I think I will be happy with this lens.

Out a two-track road, not far past 'The Knoll' and not far before 'Beehive Butte' comes into sight, a couple hours ago.

Twenty separate images/exposures, Pep Ventosa-ed out of a 4.49 Gb stack in Ps, and into what might for all purposes have otherwise have a 'SOOC' snapshot.

But shooting this (these, and others) wasn't without a modicum of frustration, though. I had a particular 'take' on what I'd planned, but it was far too windy to put my drone up in the air. Rats!

Beautiful image Jim.
