Is that an ad for Hava-Tampa Cigars? Remember when I smoked, they were a mild, sweet smoke.

I like the sky better in the original shot. You asked but I just take pics for a hobby and am still learning.

Yes taken with my phone. I do sometimes do it sideways. Thanks for looking and your comments. :). I haven't had to many comments on my pictures posted. I know they aren't as good as everyone's that use cameras. But , I enjoy taking them ...

That is what a hobby is for: to enjoy, have fun and improve as you go.

You may wish to consider buying a factory refurbished lens rather than a used one. For example, Cameta is offering a Nikon 70-300mm for $379 and a 55-300mm for $209. Both prices include shipping and a one year warranty.

Thank you, I will look into Cameta and others.

Taken with phone? You have option to hold your phone sideways. Like last one the best.

Well first part of question answered; SP 70-300 is NOT on Tamron's list of lens they will repair. Thank you all for your comments. I am looking now for a used 300, any DX type.

Years ago we toured a pelican rehab in the Ft.Myers area (donations accepted). Probably on or near Sanibel Island. Most all the injuries are caused by nylon line or a fishing hook. They do a great job and most were released back to the wild. A tour there will show very well what carelessness can cause.

Interested in the 70-300 5.6 for my D3100, is it still available? I assume it's a DX lens and compatible.

Yes, I would say. I had house cleaning chores that took longer than I wanted today, will email or call Tamron tomorrow. Will keep informed.

Thank you for your replies. Yes it is a SP 300 lens. I have the original box and doesn't appear to be gray. Will check with Tamron tomorrow.

Only excuse is my age. My favorite outdoor walk-around and teen sports lens. Won't focus, auto or manual. Can hear motor trying. Bought used thru UHH for $325. Can any of you fine gents or ladies advise me as to best course of action. Send to Tamron for estimate, or some where else or buy another? Thanks for any help. Tony

Once captured, these animals can never return to the wild. That being said, it is better for them to live out their lives here than in a circus cage or a casino.

I agree. The cat sanctuary just south-west of Tampa, FL (found it in AAA book) have cats, outdoors in large areas and are well cared for. Most were pets that owners should not have had in first place.

The Alhambra is a must see when visiting Spain. Did you take any pictures of inside the large rooms? If I remember, inside is just as beautiful. Very sharp pic of outside.
