I have a year of travels to go through and revisited this one. This is from the Indian Ocean in the Seychelles Islands. It is a very beautiful place that is said to be completely underwater by 2050. I do a lot of photo documentation of climate change and the Islands in the Indian Ocean are in big trouble.

Gorgeous photo and documentation - Hopefully it will have a little more time then 2050

I entered two photos in the recent Photo Competition at the Albany, NY Pine Bush. This was a Juried Photo exhibit with entrants at any age and skill level. There were a total of 93 entries. Thirty-six were selected for printing and hanging on the wall in the visitors center (and subsequent sale). The remaining 57 were printed in a photo book that will be kept in the room where the photos are hung. Five of the 36 hangers were picked as Honorable Mention, and three as category prize winners. They gave one honorable mention to a junior person, two for close-ups and two for landscapes.
The Albany Pine Bush Preserve is a globally rare 3300 acre preserve which is one of the best remaining inland pitch pine-scrub oak barrens in the world. The fire-dependent barrens provides habitat for more than 1500 plant and animal species.
The good news, one of my two photos "Pine Bush Trail" was selected as a wall hanger; the better news, it was an Honorable Mention winner in the landscape category. My other photo "Charred" shows the remnants of one of the burns.
Both photos were taken with a Canon 24-105 f/4 L lens on a Canon 5D4 on a rainy day in October.

Hi Heidi... nice to see you posting again! I enjoyed this set, lots of variety and things that I love seeing.... like your grand-daughter, pets and love the fall scenery and reflective shots.... expecially the last (my favorite!)

Aww thank you angela - I tried to straighten out the last photo a little ; as many told me it was a little off ; hard with the reflections of the building kilter'd but for now here it is (still needs adjusting)

I will make a few up and give to the two houses here. The gentleman's house on the right offered me to park in his driveway to take photos of some birds , so it's at least I could do ( even though I haven't taken advantage of it ,as of yet )

Very nice set, Heidi. That last scene looks familiar. Alton Bay? I know someone who took a photo of a duck that's similar to your GBH shot. She calls it "The conDUCKtor"

Yes the last scene is Alton Bay and LOL too funny on "The conDUCKtor" !!!!

Great images, very nicely done. If the last one is straightened, it would be a wall-hanger!
