Maybe this is the reason:
When I told my daughter who lives in New Zealand that I paid $7.99 for a gallon of milk, she came back with this:
In comparison to the money thing. It's $7 for half-gallon of milk here - and it's now $13 for a gallon petrol!
I display Digital photos, in files,on my desk top to my TV as follows: I transfer the photos I would want to see to a Thumb drive, insert the thumb drive into my laptop, use a HDMI cable to connect to the TV (I have a cable box plugged into the TV, I remove that and plug in the cable from the laptop). I then find the thumb drive my laptop and am in business.
I have two daughters who gave birth the same day (September 18), however, the grandson born in New Zealand is 24 hours older than grandson born here in Maui
We took the train from Jasper to Vancouver for our 40th wedding anniversary (30 years ago) would love to do it again.

I gave up on shoestrings about 6 months ago by buying a pair of Zeba Shoes, (zebashoes.com) there is some sort of flat spring in the heel area that allows you to stick your foot into the shoe and step down, you are in and they come off just as easily, when you want them off. They were a little pricey ($140 ) but I will never go back to either shoestrings or Velcro. Now if I could just find a pair of socks that would do the same I would be in business.
Aloha, Bob
When we moved to Maui 50 years ago, there were 40,000 people in 20,000 cars. Now there are 165,000 people way more than 165,000 cars, the traffic is becoming unbearable. Cruise ships are returning, bringing 2000 to 4000 tourists that clog up the sidewalks and malls near the harbor
Thanks for the comments I feel the same way.
