While on vacation in New Hampshire this summer I always go and visit my grandmother. We spent the day with her and as you can see it made her very happy. Not to mention that it makes me happy to see her smile. My wife took the shot of us. I feel so blessed to still have her :-D. Although other Faculties have gone her mind is still sharp as a tack.

Nice

Hello All,

I came across this site while meandering and it looks like a good place to learn and share. I am from central New York, (upstate) and enjoy hiking around the area and taking nature photos. I would also like to improve my portrait skills. I am looking forward to seeing what others think about my work. Here is one of my favorites.

Welcome Artie I'm from Camillus and love going to skaneateles. Enjoy!

Awww, poor robin! I've never seen anything like this! He does't seem to be bothered by it, though. Nobody better give him a mirror!

You did a lovely job with these photos.
In particular you captured Big Mac in such a way that I want to run my fingers through his coat.

The butterfly merges perfectly with its orange surroundings.

Thanks Oz

Wow! Never seen anything like that. I'll have to knit him a little tiny hat. Shouldn't take too long :)

I'm not sure what size he takes but you're right, it will not take long

Very pleasing series. Your Westie is very cool - and looks like it knows it :) The daisies and lighting are lovely. The butterfly coordinated nicely with its flower :)

Mac is quite a dog. Thanks for looking

Was taking some pics outside our home and happened to see one of the many robins looking like he was wearing horns. Took a couple of pictures and when enlarged nearly fell off my chair laughing. My sister told me that the bird was molting...kind of embarrassing if he's trying to impress the chicks

Thank you for looking. I was born and raised in N.H. moved to virginia 22 years ago with a transfer for the company I work for. Will be retiring in 5 years back to N.H. where most of my family still lives.

Grew up in Brockton, Ma but lived in Bellows Falls, Vt a few years and have retired for two years in Syracuse,NY. We have lots of waterfalls here around the finger lakes. You'll have to make a drive over once you retire. Used to climb the White Mnts a lot too.

Here is a collection of waterfalls I have shot. Most of these falls my son and I have hiked to. This was before he went into the marines. I have not hiked to many since he left boy I miss my hiking buddy.

Nice Waterfalls Al. Used to go to the ones in NH when I was a kid...about a million years ago
