Great shots nicely done Al.
What fond memories of beautiful, beautiful places. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful pictures; thank for sharing. Lots of places that are beautiful in the world. I can't understand why so many humans allow their minds to be taken over to destroy it all. May God protect your hiking buddy.
Beautiful shots that bring back memories of younger days. When I lived in Virginia, it was a two hour drive to the Appalachian parks. Man (humans) were not meant to hike alone, good for a father and sun to hike and appreciate nature together.
In the mid 80's I lusted for a Minolta 7000i... had a Pentax like 35mm MLR (multi lens reflex). The 7000 had a mind of it's own!! Had not used it during the winter, went hiking that spring... water fall, root wad 30' from base, sun setting over left edge of falls, me, laying in that cold water elbow on rock. The camera wanted to do what it wanted. Manual over ride was hard to see not like my old all manual camera.. where I could see in the eye-view and adjust quickly!!! That shot is only in my memory... and I lost enchantment with automation and cameras that had no knobs. My major complaint with DSLR. But, I love the ability to take 1200 per (SD) roll vs 12 per film roll.
Thank you for sharing, beautiful shots.... did you use an ND filter, CPF ?
I especially like the second one and crabtree. Well done.

Thank you for looking and I agree with your comments 100% so much beauty in the world and some have no respect for gods creations. When ever my son and I went hiking we both would come out with more trash than we went in with. I always carry a trash bag with me in my camera bag. I have taught my sons and daughters from an early age to respect all things god has created. It all starts with people like us. Nature provides so much for all. :-D

Thank you for looking and commenting.Sounds like challenging times in the 80's to get the shots.Oh wait a minute I have been there (lol). The move from film to digital is a positive for sure. I still have one of my older canon AE1 film cameras model #5753025. To ansewr your filter question yes I used both filters depending on the conditions. I only use Hoya filters for my neutral density filter I have a variable and it did take some getting used to but now I love it. :-D
