Beautiful, I just put Shenandoah Natl. Park on my bucket list.

Thank you for looking. I hope you make it to shenandoah it is one of the most beautiful places I have been to. I try to go at least two times a year. There are only two lenses I bring A wide angle Tokina 11 to 16 2.8. and my Tamron 70 to 200 2.8. I am buying a longer lens this year just for the purpose of trips like that.

My favorite hikes into the mountain all ended at waterfalls. My hiking companion was a well trained Labrador Retriever who would heel off-leash on command, but had free rein on the hiking trails where there was no traffic. I know he couldn't replace a son, but if you want good company on the trail, please look into the possibility of a dog.

Grew up in Brockton, Ma but lived in Bellows Falls, Vt a few years and have retired for two years in Syracuse,NY. We have lots of waterfalls here around the finger lakes. You'll have to make a drive over once you retire. Used to climb the White Mnts a lot too.
