Lets hope they are caught and SOON. My guess is these people are not hunters (at least not ethical ones) as the night vision goggles are not legal in many states for hunting. I'd say a good summer of cleaning up road kill during the summer months at their own expense (gas and time) and paying fines for wildlife and also for the animals found to be killed by them to be paid for in fines would be fair punishment. Then they should be made to play paintball with no protection to wear.

It's great to be with family over the Christmas Season and to make memories as that is all we really have in our lives that matter. Great shots Erv and it looks like Harrison had a big job helping with the gifts and paper. A job well done made him(Harrison) tired and he deserved a rest!

Db thank you for the Christmas wish. We have a lot less snow today, as it was warm all week and today finally cooled down. This is a brown Christmas in MN this year. The only snow we have is where the plow piled it up or areas not hit but the sun (when it is out which has not been very often the last 3 weeks).

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Greg. Doesn't look like much snow on the ground for MN in late December. ;)

Wishing you all a merry Christmas and hoping you are all with the ones you love. We are also holding the ones we have lost close to our hearts in fond memories this time of year. Our critters are getting hungry so I will be going out to give them their Christmas feeding after this message is sent.

Great pictures Jean, there is a majestic look to the elk when they walk around with their head held high. Have a Merry Christmas.

Great shots Marilyn, I hope the doe is ok and that the little ones get along. I know they love to play and show dominance but they can be rough some times. The tree shots are lovely and it sounds like we may get some soon. Here in MN it is turning back to mud and I for one will be happy when we get a little snow. The key word being little as it is cleaner and tending to the livestock I don't drag as much mud into the shop where I change my chore close so as to not take the barn smell back into the house.
Have a Merry Christmas and keep your beautiful pictures coming.

Thank you AuntieM, it was fun and the weather was warm so even us older kids stayed warm.

Thank you Plessner, it is a fun event to partake in. The music was great also and the lights were terrific. We did see MRS. Claus in the distance but never were close enough to get pictures of them.

Great shots Gregory. The same train comes through near here, but it was windy and cold that night so I chickened out...saw it last year for the first time and it was fun

Thank you for the explanation it does make more sense when I think of it that way.

Your pictures are very good.

Over the years, I have learned to view the crowd as part of the show, so I've stopped worrying about having actual people in a photograph of something intended to attract people - it's like having ducks in a picture of a duck decoy.

Thank you Rolf, it was very nicely set up by the Canadian Pacific RR. A job well done by them and the crew, band and singers. I hope to get a closer seat next year.

My wife and I live in a small rural town and our niece asked us to go with her and her 2 little children to see the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train. The train was scheduled to stop in town on the railroad crossing for an hour. All the boxcars were lit up with Christmas lights and one of the cars had a fold down stage door built into it. They had a band and very good singers doing Christmas carols. The only problem for getting good pictures was there were so many people in a town of 2,200 people that I would have needed a lift or bucket truck to get above them, I did the best I could and then we moved out of town to another railroad crossing where the train went by at about 50 MPH in the fog. Hope you enjoy as much as we did the festive night.
